This is a pro-life, pro-family, pro-constitution, grassroots conservative site. Romney is none of the above. He’s purely evil and I will not support him under any circumstance. Period! Go somewhere else if you can support evil trash!!
Thank you for injecting some common sense into this, Jim.
Maybe some FReepers will tone it down a bit and focus on our true enemies....Romney now....Obama next November!
I don’t think Cain played the race card.
He said that continuing to go to a place that featured a rocked inscribed “Niggerhead” was insensitive. It kinda was.
Cain didn’t say it was racist, and he didn’t say Perry was racist. Then he dropped it entirely.
If anything, it shows that Perry is stupid for not considering that frequenting a place called “Niggerhead” could be politically problematic in the future. It would be one thing if it happened in the 50’s or 60’s. This was happening in the 80’s.
NSS. Name the candidate. I’m sure you will get no argument from FReepers.
You forgot man-made-global-warming believing. That's his latest statement on the subject, but don't be surprised if tomorrow he says he changed his mind.
Well said, Lloyd Marcus.
Go Perry!
Here are mine:
1) Herman Cain
2) Sarah Palin
3) Rick Perry
4) Michele Bachmann
6-56) not sure
57) Newt Gingrich
Cain has been around the block. He knows he has to pull the “insensitive” word out whenever the “N’ word is used otherwise he is labeled an Uncle Tom. He did it purposely even though he knows Perry is not a racist.
He started it and he should come out and repudiate what is being said about Rick Perry right now. Oh no, he’s moved on and left Perry twisting in the wind.
He would do the same if it were Palin.
You guys dont mind because you don’t like Perry
Right on! We need a Conservative Group to Ensure the Defeat of Mitt Romney.
YES!!!
FUMR!!
Go TEA Party!!
No vote for Romney, ever!
I hear ya. Principles are good. I’ve always said that the best thing about Obama getting elected is that McCain isn’t POTUS.
I won’t vote for Romney either, but I live in CA, so I can get away with it. But I would probably have to consider holding my nose if I lived in an important swing state. Obama has to go.
We can always primary Romney in four years if we have the misfortune of his becoming president. Not sure if we can survive four more years of Barry.
Best.
That’s right. He intends to continue bankrupting America to fight the socialist global warming horsehockey. I also forgot to mention that he’s a cowardly draft-dodging SOB.
My goodness - there hasn't been a single vote cast in the presidential race, and already we have people preparing to capitulate and sell out their principles and values.
I suggest that a better path for us to follow is to have the confidence and knowledge that the conservative principles we beleive in are not only righteous, but are winning stands on issues.
Let's champion those issues. Let's back candidates for president who champion those issues.
And then we can have that person not only win the GOP nomination but win the General Election.
The same arguments people are using today to say why we should support Romney are the arguments the establishment used to say why we couldn't support Ronald Reagan but instead needed to back establishment candidates like Gerald Ford, George HW Bush, or the like.
But conservatives persevered and got behind Reagan then, and they were right to do so.
Sorry.
If my choice is Ron Paul or Obama, I WILL vote for Paul. Not willingly. I’ll take wierd over evil any day.
1) Sarah Palin 2) Michele Bachmann 3) Herman Cain 4) Rick Perry
I will absolutely not support or vote for Mitt Romney and, in fact, will actively campaign against him.
I agree and will support that too!
Fred Thompson. Fred Heads forever!
Romney is the reason we have Obamacare. If Romney is elected to the presidency, we’re going to see a whole lot more communist crap shoved down our throats and the “Republicans” in the congress will do little to stop it.
FUMR!! NO SECOND TERM FOR OBAMA!!
Mr. Robinson I believe that candidate is either Sarah Palin or Herman Cain. She is not in yet, wether she will be or not remains to be seen. There is a lot to like about both people, but I would humbly request that if Sarah does not get in this race, conservatives on Free Republic and in general that are holding out their support waiting on her, consider Mr. Cain as a plausible alternative.
In the most current polling he is trending up strongly and if the Palin backers, having nowhere else to go backed Cain, Romney wouldn’t stand a chance.
Perry? There is a lot to like about Perry, the reason that I and many others no longer support him is summed up largely in my tagline. The other reason is that during the debates, he cannot communicate effectively. If one cannot effectively debate, how in the world is he going to articulate true conservatism to a jaded populace?
The others (with the exception of Gingrich) have shown zero upward movement in the polls. Newt has his own problems that will not allow him to win the nod.
Again, if Sarah stays out please seriously consider Herman Cain.
Thank You.
