I had these same thoughts when I was about six years old, I said I thought everything should be free. My father set me straight, it was the first time I ever hear the word communism. I still remember how he, who was always so gentle and kind to me, was outraged that I would even have such thoughts.
Many of the others are spoiled brats who are accustomed to having everything handed to them on a silver platter and now that times are tough they are throwing a temper tantrum.
We should be careful with these people. The answer is of course to get the economy going again, not to "bail them out." I agree with another poster, you can't dictate a wage that isn't earned and you can't spend wealth that isn't created.
But, desperate people take desperate measures and self pity knows no bounds. These people can and will be dangerous if we are not careful. So on one hand we need to be compassionate on the other we need to be watchful. As for the spoiled brats who are part of the 99% with smart phones, iPads, and personal cars, they need a spanking.
And the forgiveness of DEBT thing? Who would ever go into that sort of business again? Can you IMAGINE the unemloyment THAT would create? These guys are SO clueless. I would LOVE someone to ask them these questions in a serious forum.
I guess they overlooked a small detail. When you deposit money at the bank, you are actually LENDING that money to the bank.
Apparently these generous folks are happy to have all of their and their family’s bank account confiscated!
Let’s see....
Demand one has high tariffs for all imported goods, but demand nine opens up the border for anyone to come in to work. I wonder how well that would work in the real world.
Obama is not destroying the economy fast enough for this aromatic throng. But it might inspire a new Dem campaign slogan, “We are not as bad as the fanatical, smelly NYC protest crowd. Stay with us in 2012.”
Now we all know what fantasy world the demonstrators are living in. Sad thing is, I bet Obama would agree with everything on the list!
Amazing. Thanks for the link.
Woo Hoo! I'm going shopping!
Oooh, can I add some demands? How about a 10% reduction in gravity. It will save energy needed to transport stuff and everyone will feel good about the personal weight loss.
I also demand my own unicorn that shoots gold coins from it’s butt.
I read that as guaranteed living wage whether you are employed or not. Most will choose not if that is the case.
$20 minimum wage?
lol
these idiots must want 20% unemployment.
We got 20% with a $7.25 minimum wage...
I'm also noticing the Department of Propaganda is running stories detrimental to the jug-eared poseur. They never would have run such reports even a couple of months ago.
Both on See-BS "news", I observed a "Fast and Furious/Gunwalker" report, leaning on Holder lying to Congress. Then, later in the same broadcast, they showed polling with over 50% of the voters believing Obama would not be re-elected.
I believe the news-reader was Bob Schieffer.
If the Federal government is responsible for all your needs, well what they decide is your needs, then we dont need savings or loans anymore.
But past history has shown a few small problems with systems like those. Perhaps they should live in North Korea for a while a show-case for their desired economic system.
The stalinist thugs of occupywallstreet show their true colors. N. Korea is their dream country.
—Is this stream of conscious ransoming?
Brilliant! My mouth is on the floor from the idiocy of these demands, and your comment made my brain turn back on! ;)
“free tvs”...
I’ve always wondered why NYC doesn’t do this. I’ve been wondering it since the 60’s/70’s. Add a little surfactant or shampoo to the water and we could actually improve their lot in life.
Then the city could effectively stop future protests with an ad campaign that says “Come to the protest and get clean!”
No one would bother showing up to the next one.
RE: You still need to have the discipline to follow through with the studying.
The problem is many people think that because they graduated from college, they are now considered EDUCATED.
Few ever think that education is on-going, and a man who loves education will be a life long learner and reader ( instead of forcing yourself to read and learn because you need to get a degree ).
Where the minimum wage is $20, a glass of beer costs $10. I’ve seen it for myself (Copenhagen).
