John Kriesel stand up, let the people see you, “Oh, God love ya, What am I talking about?” stand up for John.”

I was thinking along that line, too.

You can stick a fork in McNabb. He's done.

Anyone from MN want to take a crack at explaining what any of this means?

Frustration. The Packers and Lions are making this look like a rough season.

McNabb was pathetic. I watched 5 straight 3 & outs for McNabb & the Vikes from midway of the 3rd Qtr to midway of the 4th Qtr. McNabb was 1 for 8, or 1 for 9, and the only completed pass was called back for holding. He threw the ball behind the receiver, into the ground in front of the receiver, too far to the right, too far to the left..... he was pathetic to say the least. If the Vikes continue to play him, they will end up 0-16.

I don't understand the Twitter language but from what I can gather a lawmaker/fan made comments through Twitter regarding a player who then issued a response and from there it escalated. The lawmaker, who lost both legs in combat, was told to “sit down and shut up.”

Fran Tarkenton has an editorial in today's Wall Street Journal about teachers.

He should take a cue from Logan Morrison (OF Marlins) who arguably has the best twitter account in all of sports. He is outspoken - he got sent down to the minors this year for being outspoken against management. And just tonight he's talking about getting all liquored up the other night.

But he's very self deprecating and he's very, very nice to fans. One night this summer he just decided to give away tickets (no one goes to Marlins games anyway) to anyone who responded to his tweet. He ended up spending 6 hours filling over 4oo requests and nearly filled up a section of the stadium.

He's just a cool young dude that understands he's in a make believe world playing a game for (in his case) hundreds of thousands of dollars a year.

Man. I used to be a Redskins fan back in the early seventies, and if there was any player who frustrated me more than Roger Staubach, it was Fran Tarkenton.

Boy, that guy could make more out of nothing than any other quarterback at the time.

Tarkenton is right of center politically. I’ll guess Staubach is one as well.

“Anyone from MN want to take a crack at explaining what any of this means?”

Berrian is a pro football player. So, he is ignorant about most everything. Don’t know if he lives in MN, but there are some folks that have been lifelong residents that don’t know Kriesel’s story.

Yep, John is a true American military hero and he payed huge price. He’s done a lot of great things for others that have also lost limbs fighting in the name of freedom.

After John came home and had some time to recoup...he became a state-wide media darling. He was a favorite on TV and the talkshow circuit, especially the local conservative radio outlets. He was everyone’s hero.

After enjoying positive spotlight time everywhere he went in MN, he decided to run for state office. He ran and won, portraying himself as a Christian, fervently conservative Republican. The voters loved him.

Since he took office, he has sided with the left and doesn’t think that marriage should be limited to one man and one woman in Minnesota.

And now he spends his time tweeting about football.

Screw him.

I was subjected to a pre-game interview among some local guys (in Kansas City) while during the discussion on McNabb, where the one guy said, "in all fairness to McNabb....."

One of the other sports guys said, "I have no need to be fair about McNabb, nor any other player!"

I shouted, "YES" about damn time for the sports guys standing up to pc on McNabb or anyone else!!!!

Ashamed to say that describes me.

but there are some folks that have been lifelong residents that don’t know Kriesel’s story.

Glad I finally met him.

I don't follow baseball closely but any idea if the new stadium (Marlins) is creating a buzz for next season?

To me, the politician played this poorly. I think he was trying to joke, because Berrian is not much of a game changer. But it comes across as insulting Berrian, who had done nothing to Kriesel personally.

But this shouldnt become a big issue.
