I think they should keep the inaugural ball. Do away with the weekly party or whatever they call it, but the inaugural ball is once every 4 years and I think they should keep it. They don’t need to spend a fortune on it but they should keep it. jmo
Any opening to a VAT is the complete end to our way of life. The VATs in Europe range from 17% to a mindblowing 25%. Hence, everything is a major purchase. McDonalds value meals can be as much as $15 and a pair of Levis, $125. Apply those types of prices to near everything.
I love the idea of the 51% who currenly pay nothing paying something too but i know where 999 will lead. They’ll get credits (checks back from the taxpayer) and we will get ever rising consumer prices.
Please do not call the National Sales Tax a VAT. It is no such thing.
I love the science and math background. Didn’t Cain go up against Commissar Boxer in some hearing on “green jobs” a couple of years ago? Whoever it was made the commissar look VERY stupid (not hard, but he did a good job).
Cain/Gingrich... Can you imagine the debates? The two most articulate Americans against a coked-up teleprompter and a Teddy-styled drunkard.
I will never support any kind of national sales tax as long as the income tax still exists. That would be a nightmare.
