Isn’t arrogant for Texas to let illegals in the USA who then travel all over the country? Your problem is our problem, FIX IT.

Immigration is a FEDERAL responsibility and the Feds have a tendency to countermand States’ efforts when states take actions.
Texas certainly is not the only portal for illegals but is probably the only state whose governor personally confronted the POTUS regarding the federal failure to enforce federal laws.
So tell us how Perry is a threat to the sovereignty of the USA?
And since when does a person's honorable service become anything less than honorable?
Are you one who scoffs and reserve or national guard service because you aren't as impressed as you are someone's active duty service?
The fact is that Perry served as a commissioned officer in the USAF and he needs apologize to no one for that.
Be cautious of the standards you use for measuring a man's worth...your active duty is commendable but would it be proper to disparage your service because one of my uncles dropped bombs on North Viet Nam on Christmas day and you didn't? I don't think so.
Anyway, please enlighten us on how you view Perry to be a threat to US sovereignty.
The bottom line is that Perry is flawed weak candidate. Having someone like him as a governor of a border state is bad enough, as President really bad.
A wall or fence is not going to get done.
Get over it.
It won’t get built with punks like you and Perry running anything.
Perry's not perfect (none of the candidates are), but that little spurt of drama-queen hyperbole is way out there.
You must be drinking the Ron Paul-strength variety of Kool-Aid.
It would make things easier for both of us if you knew what you were talking about.
The people that want the fence the most are those that know the least about the area and logistics and the problems.
I’m now so skeered of Perry...gonna apologize to the entire world for our actions, past, present, and future; then he’s gonna attack any state that tries to manage illegal immigration; then he’s gonna bankrupt us and make China our debt master.
Oh, wait. That’s Obama and Perry is the opposite of Obama.
When hyperbole is their only tool, it becomes their normal state of mind rendering recognition of the truth impossible.
Everything I need to know about a wall/fence I learned from the Israeli’s. Every other “solution” isn’t a solution, just politics.
Yes, like that pesky river that is the border here in Texas.
And all of those annoying ranchers that need access to said river.
Perry does want to secure that border. He just knows that a fence isn't the most practical way to do it.
