How much money went from the EPA to Solyndra and then back into the campaign coffers of various liberal politicians?

I don’t think this is really going anywhere. Too much CYA by both sides.
If by “both sides” you mean the Obama administration and the MSM, you are correct. If you mean that Republicans had something to do with this, you need to put down the crack pipe.

In this case, I agree: The republicans had nothing to do with it. My point was they have so much dirt on each other for other things, it’s sickening.

Don’t let the smoke blind you. Stick to your booze.

For all we know about it, this could be the main method of financing the Democratic Party.

The trick is not to get the MSM to do its job and actually report, the trick is to make it not matter that they don’t. We are most of the way there.

Demonstratingthat the loss of a free press dedicated to exposing official fraud and abuse is a death blow to a free people. The MSM is complicit in the development of a Marxist/Stalinist state.

IF the Justice Department makes the FBI complicit in a coverup of a half-billion dollar boondoggle, they are risking getting blown up by an agent, a congressional investigation, a reporter.

Even for this Regime, it would be a very very risky move.

Like I said, I almost hope they did.

Naive as I am, I wondered why the DOJ would rush in so quickly...stupid me, of course to grab all the evidence that would damage the administration and keep it out of public view until after the election.

I’m pretty sure they’re safe from reporters, at least MSM ones, and few enough listen to others.

An agent is not going to do anything other than talk to Congress, who will bury and sit on it.

Until proven otherwise the safest assumption is that no one will do a thing about it.

As has been said here before, the rich and powerful never are prosecuted! Will anyone be put in jail because the Forest Service decided to cancel its contract with the air tankers that would have been used to fight the Texas forest wildfires just when Gov. Rick Perry appeared to be beating Obama in the polls and that the Forest Service refused to allow firefighter volunteers from other states to participate in the effort to put down the wild fires.

If it walks like a duck, looks like a duck, sounds like a duck....

I dunno, there’s a few rich and powerful folks that have gone down.

I understand what you’re saying, but there doesn’t always have to be jail time at the top for a scandal to do a lot of damage.

Lewinski was broken by Drudge. And, if it's this big a story, even an MSM reporter would be doing a calculation somewhat like: "I can protect my dearly beloved regime or I can win a Pulitzer and be famous, hmmmm..."

;)

My point is that: half a billion bucks, FBI, DOJ, coverup = huge story = huge risk.

I don't think even Holder would go there without releasing buckets of sweat.

I think you underestimate just what these people are about. This is a half-billion dollar theft, when you resolve to do that you resolve to do whatever it takes.

The question is does anyone have the resolve to stop them? I am not confident of our chances.

I thought selling guns to Mexican drug gangs who killed Border Patrol agents would get traction too. It would have if a Republican had done it.

This bunch shouldn’t have been in business. Obviously, they don’t know what the hell they are doing.

Or maybe they did. How much were the top executives paid?

“I would have been perfectly willing to run a company into the ground for half that amount. “

That’s the only proposal for sure fire financial reform I’ve run across lately.

The way it works with government-related scams...is that you have to make it look like an investment or expenditure. A good example...remember the company in Michigan that was making the one and only Anthrax for the military? When they finally got dragged into a fatal FDA inspection and failed....they needed federal capital money from the Pentagon to fix their inspection issues (otherwise, they’d never recover and deliver their precious Anthrax vaccine). So the Pentagon gave them millions. So among all the expenditures, were these oddball things that had no relationship to the inspection issues....they bought all new modular furniture for the building, and they paved the parking lot. So they flushed various funds out...that likely fell into their pockets by seemingly valid methods.

"Only way it will become a big story is if State-run, lame-stream, progressive-communist, liberal media starts reporting the story and doing in-depth reports. WE ALL KNOW THIS WILL NEVER, EVER HAPPEN!!"

Unless there is someone lurking in the background who the MSM still are loyal to ...

Maybe this is actually a serious investigation

Maybe they absconded with the kickback money!
