I can imagine Leno delivering a one-liner like this...
“Republicans are responding, ‘oh, we will, Mr. President, when you start putting country before golf’”.

I think they ought to give Obama just what he wants, and the Democrats can answer for it in 2012.

Nonsense.....
Obama’s objective and the thrust of his 2012 re-election campaign, because he cannot credibly defend his administration’s economic failure, will be to shift the blame he was placing on Bush onto the Republicans in Congress.
Remember that the general population likes the “congress” even less than Obama.....Obama see’s this as the arrow pointing to a successful re-election strategy....
2008 Obama ran against Bush’s 3rd term (MacCain)
2009-2011 Obama blames “Bush and Republicans for his failures.”
2012 Obama will run against Congress amd the TEA party caucus in the House. “It’s the Obstructionist Republican Congress’ fault!”
With Obama it’s all about finding a suitable scape goat.

Hearing Obama say, we won, you lost, get over it, really hurt back then. At the time there was nothing we could do about it. Advantage Obama.
But that remark revealed how he as the victor understands victory. He ruthlessly rammed forward his agenda with NO talk of bipartisanship. Only when this guy loses do we hear about how important a bipartisanship solution is and then, it's only lip service.
The "Country before party" BS is just such lip service. It's an attempt to fog up the horizon and get the dumb republicans to lay down their victory and compromise. Sadly, some of them are stupid enough to do just that. Some will fall for the rhetoric as we've seen in the past. So weak! McCain calling the Democrats, "My friends" comes to mind. That's not how they viewed him!

THIS ISSUE got lost in the hype surrounding Hoffa's thug speech. This is a rare time I would side with
Hillary.
