While the country isn’t technically in a recession because the economy hasn’t experienced two straight quarters of negative growth, the poll’s results highlight the importance of President Barack Obama’s jobs speech next Thursday night

What if they take out the false growth indicators due to the massive "stimulus" injections? Probably closer to a depression than a non-recession.

“Count me in that group. It’s a depression.”

It’s a needless, government induced and sustained depression. Government needs to get out of the way and let the economy stabilize and recover. Millions of people making decisions on how and where to allocate their resources will do a better job than a handfull of bureaucrats who would otherwise be unemployed if they didn’t have the economy to play with.

Yep - they’ve created structural unemployment in the U.S. - in no time at all. Nothing they plan to do is even remotely what a reasonable person would do to change course.

Still, tens of millions of Americans positively admire him!

reasonable person

Now that's where you are a little off course. The American people are not "reasonable persons." They are looking for "free things." And they don't seem to understand that we are out of money.
