By the way, of course it was to be mandatory according to the STIPULATIONS OF THE FEDERAL GRANTS! Did I NOT SAY, the teaching of the Arabic culture and language to every 5th grader? That was the TERMS OF THE FEDERAL GRANTS that had nothing to do with Perry or Khan.

Yes, it was. I remember all the news articles quite clearly.
Since there was nothing untoward in the course, I have no idea why they think Perry took it down.
Maybe because it was the outline to prepare a course, it was out-of-date and when it became public knowledge, they didn’t want the information around.
i’ve found lots of out-of-date school stuff that gets deleted after I call the school board about it. Nobody is very good about keeping their web stuff up-to-date.
Anyway, I’m sure that one of Perry’s opposition was smart enough to save off the curriculum — or maybe not, since the actual information wasn’t damning at all like they claimed, so they are probably happy it’s gone.

I’ve wondered about that, because the Aga Khan stuff was innocuous, but then there was all this stuff about muslim language which had nothing to do with it, but people were confusing it with the Aga Kahn-sponsored class that was written by a pro-Israel christian professor who struggled to make sure it wasn’t too anti-Muslim.

You know, some of us might not have become sooo suspicious of Perry; but for the fact that we feel rushed and that Perry’s being foisted upon us, much as the current messiah in the Whitehouse was.
