Mark Belling, in for Rush, had Gov. Walker on the show this week. Gov. Walker explained about the WEA insurance, and how the change in the law, denying union bargaining on benefits, saved the state dept of education.
The WEA insurance is self-funded health insurance, owned and operated by the union. Good idea, right? A lot of big companies do it, right? Wrong.
This self funded insurance charged three times what the private insurers would have charged and the unions refused to budge on either the costs or the choice of insurer.
So, even before the court ordered moratorium on the law, WEA insurers went into negotiations with the state. The upshot was that WEA lowered their bid, instead of increasing and beat the bid of the only private insurer that had offered a bid at that time. So, the state stayed with WEA at the greatly reduced cost and districts who were posting huge budget shortfalls for the year are now posting huge budget surpluses, I mean over a million dollars in surpluses, all because of one change in the law.
After the way they all mobbed the capital screaming like a bunch of spoiled three-year-old brats, this immature and self-righteous crap is to be expected.
Union thug BUMP!
The normal, civilized people of Wisconsin do see what’s going on.
I hope the thugs keep it up. That state is turning redder by the minute.
What do you expect from 8 year olds?
We have this, and previously the liberals moving in and basically harassing those special needs children at the special olympics where Governor Walker was speaking to them to honor them at the event. That is messed up. Disrupting events for special needs children, now vandalizing a school. What’s next?
They are upset about this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qgK3dvmnUZw
Instead resulting in this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E2DCoXDR1mk

You know, I completely forgot that was a Coke ditty for so many years. It seems such a natural fit for the kook left that its origin completely escaped me.
I couldn’t stand it as a Coke song and can’t stand it as a leftist anthem. Oh well.
