Not mentioned in the article is that the shut off of water has likely literally **killed** PEOPLE! Higher food prices around the world means starvation!

the local water agencies have helped themselves to luxurious buildings.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

My husband and I just returned from a 6 week camping and traveling trip through 6 states. In rural town after rural town that we drove through we saw boarded up and deteriorating Main St. buildings and homes.

But...Guess what?

The court houses, city halls, county seat buildings, and the **SCHOOLS** were manicured taj mahals!

And the damn smelt aren’t even a native fish.

Wrong. There are two flavors, one native and one not. The two are hybridizing.

You could say the same thing for the rural transit districts -- which are taxpayer subsidized and provide door-to-door services for the infirm and the poor.

We drove thru Lampasas, TX last week and the Hill Country Rural Transit District had the newest, most expansive building(s) in town...and the lushest landscaping, by far.
