There is NO REASON to be afraid of saying anything on the record.
Chabot was a good guy during the Clinton impeachment proceedings. I can see how he might be concerned about edited tapes taking things out of context. He may remember how the Dems crucified George Allen over the innocent Macaca remark.
That is about as dumb a statement as I have seen today.

If this was being held in a private venue and only private guests we invited, then restrictions on certain personal “rights” might be ceded. But, this is a public meeting in a public place to see a public servant. Since when does the servant command what the master is to do?

And what is worse, is the lamestream media will report that Chabot is a tea party card carrying republican. Barf.
I’d rather see him removed from office for violating the Constitutional rights of his constituents. Remember, he took an oath to support the Constitution and he has clearly violated that oath. The sooner we start removing them from office for violating this oath, the sooner they’ll all start taking that oath more seriously. We have to find a path to removing them for this.
Term limits are probably a good idea ~ I favor the ones where at the end we take the politician out of the job and simply "terminate" him or her. Others point out that we would not get quality candidates if we did that. I always respond "So?" ~

This is why I’ve become a registered independent and have a handle apolitical. My blood pressure goes up when I read this.
I can not stomach these partisan politicians (R or D) that have had a decades long career sucking on the blood and taxes of 300 million Americans while these sleaze bags step on our Constitutional rights at every opportunity, just so that they get reelected.
He needs forcibly removed from office as a traitor to the USA in my opinion. I don’t care what Party or what ideology he has.
As long as we citizens are paying their wages , whether they be Congressmen or cops, we should demand the right to photograph them while on their job.
Now that my BP is up, one other thing. It is an outrage that Fox News closed comments on their web site for this treasonous act by Chabot, who is an elected official being paid on our dime. We need a media that works in USA interests, not Democrat or Republican. They (the Parties) are the problem not the solution.
When the rights of we taxpaying citizens are usurped by dead beat political hacks looking for a lifelong boondoggle regardless of Party, it is treason.
