HEY - I don’t like where that middle line is headed!
We’ve had nothing but rain from April on - we dont’ need a deluge with screaming winds along with it...
Where in CT? NH here.
I sat through one of the ugliest hurricanes of the last Century. It wasn’t so bad.
Thank you.
More strange weather has occurred since Zer0’s presidency.
Moochelle better get her Booty on that cargo plane back to Washington.
Flying overweight during a storm is very dangerous!
Hussein Obama is on the job - no matter the severity of the storm, the number of people affected, the floods, evacuations, loss of life, etc., Obama will never, ever, get any criticism such as was laid on G.W.’s feet after Katrina.
It will not happen. The lame-stream, state-run media will make him out to be a hero regardless.
Wow, memories! Southland brings back memories of the Blessing of the Fleet! That was a fun time. We had a camp site at Long Cove every summer for years. Spent a lot of time in Gallilee, watching the fleet come in and seeing the days catch.
We would surf cast off Narragansett Beach, and go to Scarborough at least once while there. Best beach in the NE IMO!!
Just east of the river, central part. The eye of Gloria went straight over our house, and landfall was almost due south of us.
Ice storms can often be worse, esp the ones you all had this past year.
Got a new chainsaw this AM to replace the 25 year old one which is cranky and doesn’t like to start.
Unless you are at higher elevation get the hell out now!
The news about Hurricane Ike was suppressed. The local governments did not want the stigma of mass death hanging over them like Katrina did to NO.
There were THOUSANDS OF DEATHS. Everyone who did not get off the Bolivar Peninsula or stayed in their homes in Galveston drowned. There was a “no fly zone” for news choppers until they got the bodies picked up. Galveston Bay, the Aransas Refuge, and swamps of East Texas were full of bodies.
Never underestimate storm surge. If you make a mistake it will be too late to evac.
snicker snicker
