It was northwest of Richmond, VA; no need to evacuate anywhere in the DC area.

Brick houses are VERY dangerous in an earthquake.
Stay safe out there.

I’m in Raleigh, NC......and we felt it pretty good here. So did our next door neighbor (we came running outside at the same time); rattled dishes, pots and pans.

It went through Allentown PA about 10 minutes ago. Evacuated all the buildings down town. My wife says there is lots of panic.

It was felt in Macon, GA. I know because I thought that I was going bat-#$%^ crazy and then I heard the radio news announcement. I lived in LA for a while though.
Very, very slight though.

I’m in Columbia, Md. I thought my house was going to collapse. Wife, daughter and I ran out into the yard and saw trees and light poles swaying. Very scary. My first earthquake. The MidAtlantic region just doesn’t get earthquakes.
