Peter is talking about defection in that some supporters especially of Bachmann will abandon her — it’s going to be Mitt vs Palin vs Perry

This article is a red flag for PDS trolls. Bless their little hearts; they just can’t help themselves.

Remember that RINOs are not a loyal breed. They will back the strong horse to try and weasel their little but of power and influence. Some will bail if they think they can benefit from jumping ship. Thats why we call’em RINOs to begin with.

“I’m afraid that if Sarah does not announce Sept. 3rd, that a lot of her supporters, who do love her, will say: “Enough is enough” and settle in on another candidate. “

I don’t think any real supporter is that shallow.

She runs her own campaign (read her book) and she will give instructions to Glassner, Tim Crawford, Peter Sweitzer,Jason Recher and others on her PAC who will switch over to the campaign, what she wants in the campaign and in what way

Ironic that the PerryBOTs have assembled to
proclaim what Gov. Palin will decide.

Same thing happened with Reagan, he was down double digits to Ford, and yet, because Reagan believed in limited government and was able to communicate that message he won over enough of the moderates to win.

Reagan beat Ford? I think you mean Bush.

LOL!

Here’s an old joke you might appreciate.

Three prisoners have been chained to the wall of a dark and dank prison wall with no hope of escape.

To pass the time they told each other every joke they could remember. Over time, weakened by the diet of bread and water, they resort to numbering the jokes and just saying the number instead of the whole joke.

One day prisoner number three hoarsely mumbles, “fifteen”.

The other two remain silent.

Number three is mystified by the lack of reaction.

He asks, “why aren’t you guys laughing? You always laugh at that joke”,

Number one chimes in, “yeah, but number two tells it better”.

Sort of like the Allies invasion of Europe. All knew absolutely that it was coming.

They just didn't know where.....or when.

“END” of September? What is going on? The next thing we will here is the “END” of October.

The mothership is coming in right behind the asteroid. If not on Labor Day, the next date would be somewhere in end of September for sure. If that doesn't happen, then yes, October would be a certainty, at least until November.

However, as long as she doesn't step on Dick Cheney's toes (release date of his memoirs, Aug. 30) I'm ok with waiting another month or two. It's these clueless predictions that irritate me.

You seem to imply that Governor Palin is moving the goalposts. She is on record saying that she'd make known her decision by the end of September. Here's just one example:

Ms. Palin has repeatedly made clear that she has not ruled out the possibility of running. But she acknowledged last week that she probably needed to make a decision no later than the end of September.

“To be fair to those supporters and potential supporters who are waiting on figuring out what the set field will be,” Ms. Palin told reporters, “I want to be fair to them and make sure that they don’t feel like they are just hanging on to something that’s not going to happen.”

I agree: it just does not make a great deal of sense for her to enter the race at this point in the race... later perhaps, but for an entirely different reason.

Right now, Palin has little money, no national advisors, and (like it or not) a hugely negative image to overcome among independent voters and even a lot of Republicans. Moreover, the GOP field is positively flooded, and may become even more crowded by the end of the month.

Now, if by January or early February of next year, it appears that core GOP primary voters (meaning Tea Party and conservative activists) have not yet coalesced around a standard-bearer, then things could get interesting - especially if the front-runner is someone like Romney (Heaven help us all). It might just create an opening for someone exactly like Palin to jump in and become an instant anti-RINO magnet. Even then: in order to have a chance, she's going to have to find a way to change many peoples' negative first impressions about her, and that will not be easy.

Of course I wouldn't have any way of knowing if or the degree to which Mr. Singleton is talking out of turn, but I do think someone felt the necessity to tamp down on the fake media mark on the wall of September 3rd.

That has been a set up.

So what’s the strategy behind trying to convince her supporters that she’s not running?

If she’s really not running, then it doesn’t matter and you don’t need to waste your time with it.

But if she is running, won’t the strategy sort of backfire when she announces? Because any supporters, who because of your efforts were convinced she wasn’t running, will simply get back on board with renewed enthusiasm.

Just curious what you guys are thinking. Is your strategy based on stastistically valid research?
