Of the announced candidates, Bachmann gets the highest grade (B-) from Numbers USA for her votes in support of border control and opposition to amnesty.

Calling is a waste of time. The Reps, and GOP know all about it.
They arent going to do anything but sit on their collective arse, like they have done for the last year.
Obama is running this country and the Congress and the Supreme Court, is nothing but a waste of time and money.
Stop playing around , make the man King and be done with it.
Is this sarcasm? Maybe it is and maybe it isn’t, you decide..

Like Bill Clinton said I can Govern with the stroke of a pen.
Unless and I doubt the courts would make him enforce the laws.
However I am waiting for some lawyer to make an argument that any laws are not enforceable because of this decision.

The silence has been deafening from both the GOP leadership and the GOP candidates. Bachmann should be owning this issue, but so far I haven’t seen much comment from her camp. National Review is still silent on the issue and there’s not even a comment on American Spectator. There’s been a bit of commentary on townhall.com and Fox, but that’s about it. It’s almost as if there’s been a collective decision to avoid the immigration issue in the fight against Obama. Dumb strategy.

Here is my theory on what that is: Obama has very little to run on in 2012. A major plank that is emerging is racism. His team is going to ratchet up the racism and attempt to paint the conservatives, especially the TEA party, as racist. If someone oppposes amnesty, as codified by law or simply allowed via Great Leader's initiatives, they are racist. The nation will be reminded of its white guilt ad nauseum through all facets of popular entertainment. The Help and its silly nostalgia and the triump of the hard working 'colored women' and the Debbie Do-Gooder white woman comes to mind as one example, never mind the 'soljas' and their incessent rap that most of us never listen to. The flash mobs are part of the bait.
He has to get his base angry enough about something to get them off the couch to vote. He will use racism. It will get ugly and dangerous. Win or lose, what happens to all the anger after the election remains to be seen.

They know they will win through slow attrition on this one. Four or five years ago, this thread would have 200 angry responses within the first two hours and tons of hands raised to call, fax, FREEP and picket various legislators on the issue. I think people are just becoming fatigued over the whole issue, and unless they stand up again en masse for the umpteenth time, the illegal alien lobby is just going to prevail slowly over time and we are on the road to losing our country and sovereignty.

I think they’re more afraid of alienating the “Hispanic” vote (even though they don’t have much of it anyway) than they are of their conservative base. We need to change that.

People are too busy protecting their chosen candidates to worry about saving the nation. The lack of moral courage from the right is doing just as much damage to America as the marxists on the left.

Let me understand this: If a U.S. citizen of Hispanic descent has his house broken into, his possessions stolen, and his wife & daughter raped by an illegal Mexican does he say "that's ok, he's one of us"??!!
Don't hispanics understand that criminals are criminals and that illegals are criminals by the very act of entering the U.S. illegally? Don't they further understand that by condoning this they are ensuring that the U.S. will become just like the lawless cesspool mess that they fled from?

I expect it out of politicians but I expect far more out of conservative citizens who have decided to clam up because talking about immigration might hurt their chosen candidates.
All of those FReepers who have wasted no time noticing that code pink doesn’t protest Obama, well where are those FReepers now?

The president and congress do not care about the millions of Americans unemployed! They care only about their future and not the future of our country. They want millions of illegals to come here until there are no jobs left or only low paying wages! Makes you wonder when everybody is making $8 a hour who will buy homes, cars, clothes, give to charity, support social security, services, health care, insurance, schools, the list goes on and on.
