Good.
Go back to whatever private business you had experience in prior to running for President.
Hopefully its not in sales or P.R.

Wouldn’t count on it. He didn’t last long in the process.

I’m surprised at this. He would be an excellent and well-placed candidate for this race.

Hopefully its not in sales or P.R. Maybe he'll join a PI firm that specializes in investigating election fraud ... :^)

He was a good governor. I would really like to see him run against Psychodad Dayton in 2014.

The parallels with Lamar Alexander strike me. ambitious ex-Governor drops out of pres race after dismal Iowa straw poll, thinks he’s only suited to be executive branch, but Senate seat presents itself: Finally finds happiness.

So was Perry a ‘no’ for president.
To: Hunton Peck
I don’t think he’d fare well against Knoblauch anyhow. She’s not one of those lefty bomb throwers, comes off as moderate; and she’s pretty popular in Minnesota.
Plus in a presidential run with Obama on ticket (in a liberal state) the headwinds would be against Pawlenty.
I bet he waits til 2014 to take on Al Franken.

VP prospect. Perry/Pawlenty would not surprise me. If Perry is nominated, he will need to go to the right, not the left.

Tim “The Personality” Pawlenty ping.

Against Obama? He’s right enough on his own.

That could be the ticket. T-Paw excites no one but would be acceptable to pretty much everyone. A great pick for someone like Perry.
A nominee like Romney would have to go for someone as conservative as Mike Lee.

Yeah, and Perry was talking real nice about him the other day. That’s when it first occurred to me. Tpaw is not pure alpha, so he’d make a good second banana. Wouldn’t run off at the mouth or get off script. Could probably handle an interview with Katie Couric, too.

VP prospect. Perry/Pawlenty would not surprise me. Pawlenty was running the Minnesota attack on Bachmann for Romney. He was hoping for a VP slot by taking her down. When he failed and Perry got into the race, he wisely got out.
