All of our best Presidents save Lincoln have been pretty low key religious, and many of our worst, like Wilson, were quite religious. So, 'zeal', per se, isn't really a selling point of a Presidential candidate. So long as he accepts and supports the Judeo-Christian foundation of the nation, what's in his heart is pretty much his business.
