Wow. This is big. This is really big. The Washington Post implicated in Fast and Furious. This is worse than the press being invited to the WACO fiasco, with the obvious implication that the whole operation was for funding purposes.

So here we have the Washington Post working with the ATF to make political hay for gun control using Fast and Furious, and implying that cooperating gun stores were to blame for ATF sanctioned guns going south.

We knew the MSM was biased, but this corrupt?

Is there a source for a summary for this whole mess. I am out of the loop on what this is all about. Thanks.

Lets see where this goes. If it is up to Boner & McFossil, it will get nowhere.

I don’t see it getting legs. The MSM will cover it up. Congress will be happy to look elsewhere. It’ll only have legs in the blogosphere...

As I've been saying for the last 4 months or more, the Washington Post is up to their elbows in the resultant gore.

I think I might track down my first Free Republic post on the matter.

Glad to see the guys and gals at Human Events "READ ME".

This is the really juicy part of it all. Nixon's Revenge in fact!

There are two stories here ~ the ATF part has been getting cover in the MSM. The complicity of the WarshPost hasn't ~ but now it's getting more coverage than just my posts on FR and, believe it or not, the WarshPost itself.

There are people at WarshPost who are naive, or actually think they did the right thing ~ so they simply ignore the over 150 people who were murdered as a consequence of this government program.

In the end there are going to be people in WarshPost management who have to answer some questions ~ not about their sources but about their own behavior.

Today they lawyer up!

I’d love to see that, almost as much as I’d love to see this go all the way up to Obama. But I’ll remain very skeptical. Not because I don’t give this credence, but because I don’t expect much to come out, Washington Post or not.

"Who are the militia? Are they not ourselves? Is it feared, then, that we shall turn our arms each man gainst his own bosom. Congress have no power to disarm the militia. Their swords, and every other terrible implement of the soldier, are the birthright of an American...[T]he unlimited power of the sword is not in the hands of either the federal or state governments, but, where I trust in God it will ever remain, in the hands of the people."

The WarshPost really can't deal with this ~ it will destroy them.

I know I had little trouble making the connections between their stories and the events ~ the deaths ~ and Human Events has added names, dates, times, events ~ and the deaths.

Certainly there are people at the WarshPost who were able to do as well with the exact same evidence.

Well, the MSM as a whole can’t deal with this as well. They can’t investigate one of their family without the stench applying to them. That’s why I say, I’d love to see this grow big, but I’ll remain very skeptical. Only Congress can get it done (or appoint a special investigator), and that is questionable in itself. Do you think Issa and Grassley will want to incur the wrath of the media for initiating an investigation of the Washington Post?

Maybe it’s time for a FOI to see how high the authorization cooperation of this MSM to imbed with ATF goes ?

Inside the beltway , many people don’t believe a fact until it is printed in the Washington Post. It is the ‘unofficial’ mouthpiece of the WH !
