I'll hold fire on that conclusion, pending how much support (or withholding of support) he sends the way of the spendthrift republicans.
I wouldn’t go that far. He will vote the right way. His mistake was answering this question.
Should have followed age old advice “If you don’t have something nice to say say nothing at all”
But WE will.
Too damned many of them. I can’t blame him. But hopefully when the time comes he will just happen to support a lot of the right candidates.
No need to knock DeMint.
RINOs are still going to be targeted.
Ryan, Cantor, West, DeMint — all disappointments.
DeMint respects weasels. I guess if they are good at being weasels they deserve some kind of respect. At least they remain true to themselves.
Actually, the anger should be focused on the “man” who could have led the house in the right direction but chose to surrender.
Boehner.
I don’t think so Tim. He is still working his PAC isn’t he?
Oh yes, now DeMint is a RINO.
C’mon, folks.
He should definitely be primaried.
p.s. does that require a sarcasm tag? — just in case-///////SSSSSS
“Evil flourishes when good men do nothing.”
I trust Sarah Palin, Rand Paul, Tim Scott and not many other Republicans.
I see ya. I see ya down there, jimbo. I'll show ya targeting. BANG! BANG! |
If you want off my ping list get over it!
I respect your opinion. I and those on this ping list obviously disagree.
Jim DeMint Ping! |

BS
That’s an old quote.
Don’t get your undies in a wad.
Here’s his newest statement. Not that old one.
DeMint had promised after last years election that he would not endorse any opponents to his fellow GOP lawmakers in the 2012 cycle. But now he is angry enough with the debt-ceiling compromise that Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) and House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) struck with President Obama that he might back serious challengers to Republican senators who support the plan, according to a source close to the senator.
Hes already opened the door to changing that policy in terms of supporting people in primaries this deal could bring him to the point where he says hes not going to make any guarantees, said the source, who asked not to be identified because of the sensitive nature of intraparty relations. Its not a threat that hes going to oppose anybody, but if he does, nobody should be surprised.
Given that DeMint has been one of the leaders in pushing for principled ideas that reduce that debt and lead to a balanced budget, it would be foolish to turn on him for not wanting to start a civil war among his colleagues.
DeMint surrenders. Pathetic coward.
Just chill. Sen. DeMint is NO coward. Sometimes, when a battle is lost (and this one IS, effectively) it’s better to save your ammunition, keep your powder dry, and reposition your troops so that no more harm is done to them at this point.
Sure, stand against the enemy, expose and cry out against his obvious plans, but wait for a more opportune time to launch a full scale counter-assault. DeMinst knows this. He’ll bid his time. Boehner, McConnell and the Inside-the-Beltway RINO’s have made that certain — for now. That won’t last forever.
