You know what, Valerie? A lot of Americans haven’t been getting much sleep since November 2, 2008. I’m one of them.

Husband tells me I’m a completely changed woman since then, NOT for the better. I don’t sleep; depression and anger are constant companions; I cry a lot.

The birth of my first grandchild a month ago isn’t even pushing away the haze of disbelief that my country is irreparably damaged. I just worry about her future now; what hope is there?

I’ve been unemployed since March of 2009 and it looks like I’ll never work again, being a 50 year old woman. And yes, I’ve looked far and wide, high and low.

Too effing bad for Little Boy Blue Lips if he can’t find rest. May God keep him awake until he sees the Truth, if that’s even possible.

But, I’m just a non-union, lower-middle class white woman, why would you or the Won give a crap about me and “folks’ like me?

In all honesty, I’m reduced to tears right now. I know I’ve been a snivelling coward, and I keep trying to get braver and get on with it. With God’s help I will be stronger.

Lord in Heaven, be with us, help us; BUT, above all, Your will be done.

This is the day the Lord has made (no matter what the day brings) I WILL rejoice and be glad in it.

When the world does not end on August second, Obama and Geitner are going to lose tons of credibility and they know it. The 'real' deadline will be announced and it will sound like the little boy crying wolf - a story that does not end well for the little boy.

The man just can't understand a smaller government, or even a government only as bloated as the one we have today. The cuts we are talking about are not really cuts. They are only limits on spending. His fundamental transformation may have to slow.
