Youll have to watch this to believe it.
In a harsh criticism of House Republicans and think tanks critical of Rep. John Boehners plan to raise the debt limit, the 2008 Republican Presidential nominee, who chose Tea Party darling Sarah Palin for VP, said about this about a faction of his own party:
Granted, Sen. McCain was quoting a Wall Street Journal opinion piece this morning when he recited this passage:
The Republican House that failed to raise the debt ceiling would somehow escape all blame. Then Democrats would have no choice but to pass a balanced-budget amendment and reform entitlements, and the tea-party Hobbits could return to Middle Earth having defeated Mordor.
This is the kind of crack political thinking that turned Sharron Angle and Christine ODonnell into GOP Senate nominees.
McCains eruption was the product of his frustration with fellow conservatives who are still holding out for a balanced budget amendment as part of any compromise on the debt ceiling. McCain accused those pushing for the amendment as deceiving America into believing such a thing can pass the Senate:
Is this McCains strategy to build a coalition with those in his own party to get a plan actually done? Is this how he thinks he can sway support for Boehners plan?

I couldn’t believe it...so odd and so awkward.
Better a Hobbit than a traitorous jackass!
we’re the HOBBITSES!....be proud people.....
Mr “reach across the aisle” just can’t understand those who stand on principle.
GOP elitists like Juan McLame only want to raise the debt limit to keep the markets stable and their precious
investments safe.
Let it crash and burn.
Sometimes a body needs to puke a bit in order cleanse itself.
Pffffffffft...old RINO political hack! Why doesn’t he just switch parties already? He’s just jealous because he doesn’t speak for the party anymore and the Tea Party who refused to support him is holding the line in this battle.
Old RINO’s don’t like their little establishment sand box to be disturbed by we the people.
Sorry, a sign of old age and too long in Washington. He is a bit senile at this point... I forgive him, but not as to the Tea Party folk...for that he is an idiot and that is his problem...
Well Mr. Aphallic, as an aisle-crossing, self-interested career politican and useless, unprincipled coward, I’m sure you were trying to be insulting.
But, after all, in the LOR trilogy, it was the humble and lowly Hobbitts who were instrumental in taking down great evil.
I think you just nailed it.
The Hobbits defeated Sauron.
John McCain couldn’t even defeat Obama the Fairy.
Long live The Shire!
PROUD TO BE A HOBBIT!! :)
their PRRREEEEECIOUSSSSSSSSS investments?
He may as well have said STUPID FAT HOBBITSES!!! (gollum! gollum!)
Hobbits - brave, loyal, ready to face danger for the greater good.
Knowing it was meant as a slur and considering it came from a betrayor, a Nazgûl, I’ll still take it as a compliment.
Just remember you pathetic senile Senator those Hobbits were instrumental in defeating evil.
Does this make Bela Pelosi Shelob? I’m for it, now where’s Samwise when you need him?
.
Looks more like Pelosis ultrasound when she was just a pile of cells in dem speak.
If TpCaucus members are Hobbits then Juan McLame is a Troll..
