Retired electronic tech, have witnessed the damage lightening can do even with quality surge suppressors in AC and phone line circuits.

Cajun is paranoid about the *Booms* from the clouds :^)

At this time of year Connecticut seems to have all of the severe weather rolling through it. Pennsylvania has a bad cell moving through it too.

It’s shaking the house again.

Few storms around here have scared me. (I don’t like thunder though) They’re noisy and they really can do damage but I grew up in Toledo. We had tornadoes all summer. We knew if the sky looked green, run for home. If a tornado was sighted they blew the WWII sirens too. I learned they still do that.

We don’t often get tornados here. They really scare me, because there’s so little time to react. At night, there’s no time at all. I prefer hurricanes and blizzards. We know when those are on the way and can prepare.
