Brigham Young would call the Salt Lake City Mormons apostate. The FLDS are the true Mormons.
Thanks. I’ve had my yearly hit. See you next year. ;-)
Keep me on, please.
According to Linsay Whitehurst’s Blog:
http://www.sltrib.com/sltrib/blogspolygblog/52256558-191/jeffs-trial-walpole-courtroom.html.csp
Judge Walther has denied another request for a delay before Jury selection. (I've heard over 700 people were called.)
Apparently Wapole is going to try the ‘religious freedom’ defense and also file for a change of venue. (In the previous fLDS trials she has denied that motion on the grounds that rescue drew national TV and there wasn't any place that had not seen it. She told the defense to choose their jurors carefully.)
Done!
Religious freedom—not sure that will fly with Walther. This isn’t the West Coast. ;)
Today, it's rumored that both Abbott and Gov. Perry will attend. Jury selection continues.
Note to Jeffs: You're not in Utah any more, fella!
Plyg placemark.
I hope the jury rules that caseyanthony must submit to this child molester and live as one of his 20 wives - she already has the hair do going!
This mornings video update by Mike Watkiss.
He reviews jury selection
Brief interview with Texas AG Greg Abbott
With respect to evidence suppression he references ‘an audio tape.’
If you've not been following this case closely - Jon Krakauer, author of Under The Banner of Heaven - mentioned in an interview approximately six months ago that there existed a ‘tape’ of Warren Jeffs consummating his celestial marriage with the 12 year old in the temple at YFZ. Allegedly other wives, notably the infamous Naomie were looking on and recording it, or acting as ‘scribes.’
Since his initial statement Krakauer has refused to elaborate and there has been much speculation about ‘the tape.’ For the first time this morning Mike Watkiss seems to confirm such a tape exists and that it is an audio tape.
Excuse me while I go take a shower.
Meanwhile, check out this thread someone posted earlier today, Defense: Polygamist leaders' religious rights were violated (Jeffs), and the thread I posted yesterday, Warren Jeffs' Sexual Assault Trial Set To Start Monday. Several items posted in addition to the main article which some might find interesting.
