Yes, usually it is, as the largest preponderance of boat and marine gasoline engines are designed for alcohol free gasoline, but always ask at the marina.
You can buy non ethanol gas in Texas. We LOOK for the Shell station that says NO ETHANOL because we get more for our money. Ethanol is very inefficient. Makes me mad when we have to buy blended but I only get enough to go down the road for non blended if I can find it.
Florida passed a law saying all gasoline to be used in cars is required to have ethanol. A very small number of stations sell non-ethanol for off road vehicles and boats. They are hard to find and the marine gas stations are generally on the water and hard to reach when driving a car.
