"IF he doesn't Issa will as the current one has a conflict of interest and should recuse. "

Congress no longer has the power to appoint a SP.

One of the problems with plans like Operations “Fast and Furious” or “Castaway” is that various government drones keep “Pearl Harbor Files” for just such occasions.

Remember the August 1991 attempted coup against Gorbachev? When the coup plotters tried to take the Russian White House (home of the Supreme Soviet), Boris Yeltsin was the one who stood atop the tank. He asked the troops whether they would obey the orders of the coup plotters and fire on the Russian people or turn their guns on the plotters.

The answer was the troops refused to fire on the Russian people and turned on the plotters. As the coup unraveled, the plotters tried to destroy all the evidence. All the files with the incriminating communications were supposedly “sanitized”, but their best attempts weren't enough. It was all those bureaucrats that handled the plotter's message traffic that came forward with copies of the destroyed original documents to seal the coup plotter's fates.

If the Russian plotters weren't smart enough to get the squirreled-away copies, you can be certain that Zer0 and is band of incompetents haven't even thought of this possibility.

indymedia had the same take on that.

There is a serious credibility gap with that one.
