I anm in favor of the death penalty. Happy that Florida has it, and it doesn’t take decades to carry out a sentence. I think the 100% guilt, and totally, pathologically evil..but in this case I’d be happy with LWOP..i think, for her, it would be a far worse sentence that death. Sorry to sound vindictive...but if she didn’t wan’t the child, she had sooooo many options available to her....including some that would have helped her financially..
Hearing any new rumors?
How could she get a tatoo in memory of her daughter when her daughter hadn’t been found yet?
This has been disproven. There was only chloroform. They did test for those cleaners and they weren't present. Also, the amount of chloroform was surprisingly high. It's a volatile chemical that evaporates. The fact that it was still present in such high amounts after so much time (and still present months later on evidence that was shipped unsealed) shows that the chemical itself was in very high amounts.
I'm guessing that it was high enough that it had to have been spilled in the trunk.
The lack of 100% perfect knowledge opens the door for the most far-fetched alternative theories.
You’ve got it about right, exccept the prosecutors go further. He/she maintain that Casey wanted a permanent solution that would allow her to pursue a libertine lifestyle — a “beautiful life” where she can go after fun in the clubs and a wealthy man.
Per local news the jury has ordered lunch to be brought in to the deliberation room- want to keep working.
Killing by accident is still killingAccording to the jury instruction (as I understood them), accidental killing is capital murder only if she was committing other, specific, crimes at the time. In this case, the other crime would be child abuse (i.e. using duct tape and/or chloroform).
I am in favor of the death penalty in principle but as applied I am not. It takes on average 15 years to implement it as it goes through the appeal process. Casey would only be the third women in Florida to be given the DP.
I don’t think so but I came fairly late to the trial myself.

Doesn’t matter to him. He’ll be dining out on this case for the rest of his life.
Great link. Thanks!
Video of Baez this morning, hamming it up for the cameraPersonally, I would be happy to let Casey go free if that allowed us to lock up Biaz for the rest of his life!
/sarcasm
Another generation would be influenced by the Perry Mason factor where the guilty party (usually a witness) is suddenly overwhelmed by something Perry says and confesses right there in the stand.
Someone on HLN said the jury has not asked for a break all morning. Not even a special smoke break.
4 for acquittal??? Eeeeegads. I can see 4 undecided- but not-guilty would really be a miscarriage of justice.
