Even assuming Texas had a duty to tell this scumbag he could contact the Mexican consulate, the present controversy is easily decided against him: Harmless error. IOW, he would have been convicted anyway.

He absolutely needs to fry. And the UN needs to be dismantled brick by brick.

As for Obama, there are no words I can post here without being banned.

I predict denial of cert by SCOTUS [meaning Obama loses] - probably without comment. If it does grant a reason, it will probably be on the basis of the 10th Amendment ...

I was not explicit - the reason would explain the denial ...

In New York? I'm no Yankees fan and Bloomberg sucks, but...

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Adria Sauceda Jan. 27, 1978, and May 21, 1994

Adria was found bludgeoned to death with a rock and left naked on a dirt road after being sexually assaulted with a stick

That is all that anyone needs to know about Humberto Leal

That makes sense, the district court has already ruled against Obama and the appeals court refused to even consider the case.

The United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights has written a letter to Texas Governor Rick Perry asking him to commute Leal’s death sentence.

A Texas governor can delay an execution for 30 days only. Commuting a sentence can only come from the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles, iirc.

“Why Barack Obama is trying, once again, to insinuate himself into the laws of a sovereign state and to defy the will of the people is beyond comprehension.”

He's doing it simply because he can. He feels he's the emperor, not president. Besides, he has a vendetta against Rick Perry for some reason, and anyway he can harass him he will. The same with any other red state.

The same with any other red state. Remember when Obama went to Texas? Gov. Perry tried to have a moment with him, and when he couldn't, slipped a note to Obama’s secretary?

That makes sense, the district court has already ruled against Obama and the appeals court refused to even consider the case.

No treaty signed by the United States can supercede any of the clauses within it. In this case, it would be the 10th Amendment.

Hell, come to think of it - that treaty may be unconstitutional under the Supremacy Clause [Article VI, Clause II] which, in Marbury v. Madison, it was concluded that the Constitution is the law above all others. Any laws and treaties conflicting with it are unconstitutional.

Otherwise, a treaty signed that outlawed the 1st Amendment would be valid ...
