"So there should have been a specific list of these conditions/disorders in the bill." Sounds good on the surface but when Lawyers start telling Doctors when and what they can do in regards to Medical treatment you are setting up a system that will eventually get people killed.
There is always an exception when it comes to Medical treatment. Its virtually impossible to list all the conditions a mother could have that would endanger her if a pregnancy went ahead. Heart Conditions and Lung Conditions alone would take volumes. And then Doctors would be hesitant to violate the law because of liability. Then when you had several Mother's die because Doctors were being over cautious in trying to operate in accordance with the law, the liberals would have all the ammo they need to repeal the abortion ban.
Leave it in the hands of the Doctors to decide and make sure all those decisions can be peer reviewed. Then when you find a baby serial killer who constantly ignores the law (like the criminal abortion Doctor that got himself mudered not to long ago) You can lock him up for life and make him work as a Doc in the Prison he is assigned to!

"Although I am very pro-life, Id have a huge problem without the life of the mother clause."
I look at these cases as where the mother does not want the abortion, but the Doctor says otherwise. Very sad. Definitely not a case of abortion as birth control.

It’s still got a ways to go before becoming a law and then you know it’ll be challenged. It’s not celebration time just yet.
