Yep. If this administration is against it, it must be the right thing to do.
Trust Obama to side with Mexico against Texas. Didn’t he send money to Mexico to fight the brush fires, but refused to do so for Texas?
This is a golden opportunity for Rick Perry to vault to the top of the Republican heap by defying Obama and the SC if necessary. If he tells Obama to shove it he becomes an instant hero to all the average Joes out here in middle America
Kill the innocents and protect the guilty. What has America wrought?
I’m not a fan of the death penalty either but don’t see the point in screwing around.
Kill em in the act and the death penalty doesn’t matter.
The fact that the administration is speaking up on this subject tells me that they are pretty sure that Perry’s going to run and they’re planning on using this issue for political purposes.
It might energize the brain-dead democRAT base, but most sane people are in favor of taking this murderous rapist out of the gene pool forever.
According to the Constitution, international treaties are the law of the land.
Not a separation of powers issue. The administration fied a legal brief, arguing for a certain position ( that the execution should be halted). The administration’s position is, as usual, dead wrong, but the fact that they filed a brief is not a separation of powers issue.
Obama supports the rape and killing of 16 year old girls.
Obama needs to arrested today.
>> Guess we will see what Perry is made of.
It could go either way — depends on whether Perry sees the biggest payoff among conservatives and independents, or decides he needs to suck up to the large Mexican population here.
I hope he does the right thing for the right reasons (i.e. FRY THE BASTARD), but it’s probably realistic to admit there is some political calculus being diagrammed on a white board in the Governor’s Mansion over this.
oL’ Barack “Anything for a vote” Obama...you name it, bail-outs, tax cuts, waivers, stays of execution...the boy is on it if it benefits him...otherwise, he could care less.
That's correct. Flatly unconstitutional. However, the Congress has enacted ex post facto legislation once before, under Clinton, and nobody even challenged it. It was a retroactive tax increase.
We left the rule of law in this country a long time ago.
>> Start killing him now and finish up in 6 months.
Make it ten, and the scumbag can draw his last breath on Cinco de Mayo. :-)
Obama supports this and is so sick the Secret Service must arrest him and hold him for psychological evaluation.
Why does Obama hate 16 year old girls?

Apparently, Governor Perry did proceed with the Medelliín execution. From Wikipedia:
“Medellín was executed at 9:57pm on August 5, 2008 after his last-minute appeals were rejected by the Supreme Court. Governor Rick Perry rejected calls from Mexico and Washington, D.C. to delay the execution, citing the torture, rape and strangulation of two teenage girls in Houston 15 years ago as just cause for the death penalty.”

Did anyone tell young Adria Sauceda she had a right not to be raped, killed, mutilated by Leal? Wasn’t she the age that one of Obama’s daughters is now?
“”Guess we will see what Perry is made of.””
Can he just go ahead and move it up - just say his calendar was on the wrong page - WHOOPS - SORRY! We’ll try to do better next time. Really, we will. We promise.
