Wow I took algebra I as a freshman
It was required
I guess freshman now take remedial math like how to add, subtract ?
I get to vote for the School Board members and the Superintendant....they are county employees. Is that different in your community and around the country?
They produce or they get voted out. It is not futile and parents matter greatly.
They have Mathland. They don’t need Algebra.
I can remember taking probability and statistics in my high school, and I was in the dumb class - the brainiacs took calculus.
Play that funky race card.
“I get to vote for the School Board members and the Superintendant....they are county employees. Is that different in your community and around the country?”
In the minority communities it’s rigged. Technically you get to vote...but candidates that aren’t supported by The Blob are quickly dispatched and never have a chance.
The former mayor of DC (Fently, I think) and his school chief (some Asian babe) found that out quite quickly.
Now, in white areas, they do a better job of getting parents to believe that they have some say, since the parents are better at getting organized and taking them on...but even so, you have curricula like Everyday Math in some some of the ‘best’ schools in the country - so even there, parents are still Useful Idiots.
I know, that's why we moved from Delaware to Virginia before she started school.
