While the former Alaska governor, vice presidential candidate and Fox News commentator is still much loved as a smart, media savvy conservative who breathes fire against President Obama and Democrats, it appears that Tea Party excitement for a Palin presidential run has passed.

So sez CNN. Yeah, I can trust CNN to give an objective analysis of the situtation without any underlying agenda.

Not.

For all the talk of the relative intensity of support for Palin versus Bachmann, one only needs to compare the attendance at Bachmann's announcement in Iowa versus Palin's attendance at the movie premier in Iowa. 'Nuff said.

Reminds me of an old song... ‘The Great Speckled Bird’
Traditional, sung by Acuff, Robbins and others

1.What a beautiful thought I am thinking
Concerning a great speckled bird
Remember her name is recorded
On the pages of God’s Holy Word.

2. All the other birds are flocking ‘round her
And she is despised by the squad
But the great speckled bird in the Bible
Is one with the great church of God.

3. All the other churches are against her
They envy her glory and fame
They hate her because she is chosen
And has not denied Jesus’ name.

4. Desiring to lower her standard
They watch every move that she makes
They long to find fault with her teachings
But really they find no mistake.

5. She is spreading her wings for a journey
She’s going to leave by and by
When the trumpet shall sound in the morning
She’ll rise and go up in the sky.

6. In the presence of all her despisers
With a song never uttered before
She will rise and be gone in a moment
Till the great tribulation is o’er.

7. I am glad I have learned of her meekness
I am proud that my name is on her book
For I want to be one never fearing
The face of my Savior to look.

8. When He cometh descending from heaven
On the cloud that He writes in His Word
I’ll be joyfully carried to meet Him
On the wings of that great speckled bird.

So when she loses to Romney or even in the general to the Bamster, we can opine, if we only had Sarah..............

No political figure gets a place in my heart.
They get constant scrutiny.

ABSOLUTELY NOT. My heart lies with the Constitution and not with any one politician. Politicians who earn my respect and support are ones who exemplify “words and deeds that are one in the same”.

"I don't think there is a Tea Party favorite," said Mark Meckler, co-founder of Tea Party Patriots, the nation's largest Tea Party group.

This is probably the only line worth reading in the entire article. And it's true. Any current or potential candidate who thinks that they're simply going to ride the TEA Party to victory is fooling themselves. The very nature of the TEA Party movement is that its participants vary pretty heavily on their general political beliefs, with the exception of recognizing that tax-and-spend government has got to be stopped.

And just a bit creepy.

I feel the same way. Haven't put my finger on exactly what it is about her, but no thanks.

As far as that headline, "Has Bachmann replaced Palin...", they wish!

Bachmann will not be the nominee. No House member will be, no Senator should be. A former governopr, a current governor, or a private citizen will be the nominee.
This does not lessen my respect and admiration for Bachmann one bit.

NO. Bachmann’s in the race, and she did incredibly well in the most recent debate. That’s why she’s polling with the ‘frontrunner’ Romney. At present, she’s the best performing declared candidate that isn’t a liberal.

I agree. America tends to elect govenors to the presidency. I could live with Perry.
