Real Clear Politics is showing Romney as the leader. I just don’t get it. There are so many who will never vote for him, myself included. I just get the feeling that it isn’t conservatives who are so gung-ho for him. If he is the nominee, I will not vote for him.
But she is a foster mom!
Who will the media select to run against their saviour?
You can bet they will endorse a rino or someone whom they know they can defeat by bringing out the negatives.
I watched parts of the debate and neither Mitt nor Michelle impressed me much. However overnight the media said Michelle was not only the winner but they gave her praise for her intelligence when they have done nothing but denigrate her for as long as I have known her name.
Why the sudden change?
So who are you working for?
he isn’t, he just has better name recognition.
Why is ti shocking, nit rummy is not even allowed to attend meetings of used car salesmen as they don’t want to tarnish their images.
Palin has been the “flavor” for three years.
Executive leadership, incredible executive skills, and a national presence, and media domination that we have never seen from any conservative, ever.
I hadn't been too open to the idea of a woman president up until this cycle, but Bachmann is as close to an ideal as you can get. She's an articulate solid conservative and can express her views cogently without losing her femininity in the process. She's certainly an attractive lady, and looks younger than her real age. And I don't see any major skeletons in her closet whatsoever - although you can bet the ranch that the MSM will be intently looking for something.
Anyone threatens their Thanksgiving (as in November) turkey, they take out the long knives. He’s not ripe for the kill yet. Fatten him up first, make him think he’s their pet.
Way too early but I wish Pawlenty showed a little stronger.
Way too early but I wish Pawlenty showed a little stronger.
Are you referring to Romney now?
"Part of it is because I was born in Iowa," she said on Fox. "In Iowa, I have a distinct advantage there, I think.
% Romney 23 Bachmann 22 Cain 10 Gingrich 7 Paul 7 Pawlenty 6 Santorum 4 Huntsman 2
Cain ....flavor of last week.
Trump ..... flavor of the week before Cain.
Perry ....flavor of next week.
And Peter Pan or Mary Poppins the week after that. ROTFLMAO
I too will be glad when we get through wading through all these second and third tier flavors of the week candidates and get down to addressing the real issues facing America.
You were reading my mind.
You said you hope Sarah gets in.
As much as I like Bachmann, my initial reaction on reading this headline was, “Oh, no.”
That was an interesting reaction, and I had to ask myself why I felt it. It took only a moment’s reflection to realize that I don’t believe Bachmann can win, even if she COULD get the Republican nomination.
Part of it has to do with her only having experience as a Representative. But there’s another part here, too.
Bachmann isn’t seasoned in the way that Palin is. Palin has been through the gauntlet of everything the media can throw at her, and come out on the other end smiling.
It’s true that Bachmann doesn’t have the high negative perception that Palin does... AT THIS POINT.
But there is NO DOUBT that the media will do to Bachmann the exact same thing they’ve done to Palin. And probably worse.
And the other part of it is that Bachmann doesn’t stand out in the way that Palin does. Without Palin in the race, I can easily envision a split that gives the nomination to Romney in the same way that conservatives splitting their votes in the last election gave the nomination to McCain.
I don’t think there’s any way around it: Palin needs to enter the race.
I also think that if Palin sees she needs to enter the race for the good of the country, she will.
And I think she’s smart enough to see it.
For that reason, I am with you... waiting for an announcement, at the right time, from Sarah Palin.
#8 -—very neatly done. And probably prophetic.
But one of those flavors better last the entire next year.
Don’t forget that Obama too started out as flavor of the week, and wound up being granted a four-year “bad date with America”, or was it an “arranged marriage” with America?
Obama’s been careening around recklessly through our institutions , not to mention our Constitution, dismantling them bit by bit, removing the key nuts and bolts that hold them together. The next President is going to have to start replacing them all, and I don’t think we’ll settle for anything less. As the months go by, the MSM may indeed try to sell the 4 candidates you mentioned as ‘nothing more’ than flavors of the week, and thereby try to create the false impression of Romney as staunch and steadfast and here to stay. We don’t think he’s any of that, and his presence as the nominal ‘front runner’ will create more upheaval among the growing Tea Party constituencies than is even imaginable now. He’ll be a lightning rod for discontent, every bit as much as Obama was, and is.
