You are so right! I can’t believe anyone would recommend this. Anorexia kills faster than diabetes does. And how many people can endure this starvation diet? What a miserable way to live.
Not only that, but it could be that dieting is what sets people up for weight gain later on. The body becomes efficient at conserving fat once someone has dieted or been deprived of food for any length of time.
I’ve gone from being misdiagnosed as type 1 in the hospital about 3 months ago, having a reading above 747 and a a1c of 13.5 “was 169 pounds 5’7 “ from day one I avoided there diet of to many carbs per day i kept it under 150 carbs for weight loss and slowly got a bit better then i lowered it to the under 50 carbs for fat burning and got a bit better readings currently i’m on the 600 cal a day diet under 50 carbs a day and only 2 meals a day no snacks with a good 24 hour fast once a week to break through the liver dumping effect/weight loss wall that happens when your body gets used to higher numbers it also lowers over all readings and repairs the body. currently my morning reading sits at 81 and after meal readings return to low 80’s fast i’m on nothing but supplements and currently 147 pounds. I will try this for the full 2 months to cut the organ fat down.
starvation and Anorexia happen when you have no body fat left to burn for fuel, your body is made to run on fat when needed
Also, stop eating ALL white rice.

>> “Eating an ultra low-calorie diet can cure Type 2 diabetes in just eight weeks, dramatic new research has shown.
Even people who have suffered from the condition for years found the drastic diet could jump-start their bodys production of insulin.” <<
.
Bullshit Alert!
Shortage of insulin is never an issue for type 2 diabetes. The fact is that a large part of the damage from diabetes is the large amount of insulin in the blood, caused by the cells inability to metabolize the sugar.
To cure type 2 diabetes requires re-growing new cells throughout your body with animal oils and saturated vegetable oils, instead of fake and polyunsaturated vegetable oils, alowing them to be pervious to water.
That process takes from 6 months to a year to accomplish, during which no sugar or processed starch should be consumed.
Well, who does? I don't see anything at your link that says! :(
later
I am doing this from memory and reserve the right to be off. The article I saw said that the patient(s) were able to decrease or eliminate their oral meds almost immediately after the surgery prior to any weight loss. They were not sure of the causality, but they did notice a correlation. They also said that further long term studies needed to be done.
I would also like to hear more. I tried the Shallanbergers and it did nothng for me.
Private mail me if you like.

The link you tried was posted in 2011. Here’s a direct link to the pertinent information:

Thanks!
So. Much so that when a diabetic pt has gastric bypass surgery we send them home a couple of days later off all diabetic meds. That would seem to be too soon for just calorie limitation to be responsible, so there is another piece to the puzzle we have yet to find
My brother has type 2 as well. I’ll be passing this along to him!
That is not true. The liver and cells absorbing insulin is the problems with type II. I don’t know where you get your information but it is completely wrong.
“We *need* fat in our diets... “
Yes, we do need fat in our diets, but it needs to be the right fat...coconut oil.
Twenty-five very overweight or obese adults, most in their 60s, were documented over a 17 week period. All participants began with a full medical check-up. Health problems included diabetes, depression, high blood pressure, elevated triglycerides, urinary tract infections, fibromyalgia and gout.
All gave up processed foods. Instead they ate fresh natural foods including unhealthy butter and raw milk. The test subjects took cod liver oil and magnesium and a dessert spoon of coconut oil before each meal. They also engaged in moderate exercise.
So what happen to these 25 elderly people at the end of their 17 weeks as guinea pigs? Again, they were given a full medical check-up. Overall health was greatly improved. Weight loss ranged up to 38 pounds. Most were able to discontinue all drugs. Notably, blood fats had normalized, something no other eating plan had been able to achieve.
Its not rocket science but it works. Fresh nutrient dense foods, healthy fats (such as coconut oil), and moderate exercise can change lives. This means we can overcome many of the health problems we see today and we can stop the obesity epidemic right now.
