Nice little slick bait and switch Graham. War Powers Act or no, Congress has the right to defund the Libya action per the Constitution if I recall. One is not tied to the other.

We’re almost to the point that the Constitution will be unconstitutional.

Gee, should I believe Lindsey Graham, or should I believe Alexander Hamilton? Let's see what Hamilton had to say about it:
Federalist #69
The President is to be commander-in-chief of the army and navy of the United States. In this respect his authority would be nominally the same with that of the king of Great Britain, but in substance much inferior to it. It would amount to nothing more than the supreme command and direction of the military and naval forces, as first General and admiral of the Confederacy; while that of the British king extends to the declaring of war and to the raising and regulating of fleets and armies -- all which, by the Constitution under consideration, would appertain to the legislature.
I believe I will side with Alexander Hamilton on this one. Unlike Graham, I consider Hamilton to be a Constitution expert.

Graham is confusing the WPA with congress's constitutionally mandated responsibilities.
When has this twit ever been right?

Maybe if Moammar checks himself into “rehab” for a few days, NATO will leave him alone.

"I would take the course that conservatives have been taking for the last 30 years -- The War Powers Act is unconstitutional, not worth the paper its written on," Graham declared. "It's an infringement on the power of the commander in chief."
Okay mr JAG officer. Then file a lawsuit with SCOTUS and have them say it is. Until then it's a LAW that the POTUS is bound by his oath to comply with.
twit.

Hey, all you incredibly dumb and uninformed Americans, Im Lindsey Graham. Im a really, really, REALLY smart lawyer from South Carolina. Almost as smart as John Edwards and Elena Kagan.
Because I am from South Carolina, some of you uninformed BIGOTS might call me a cracker.
Actually, that suits me just fine because that would make me a Graham Cracker. So if you dont like my position (most often bent over Obamas or Harry Reids desk) on globull warming, immigration, the Kagan nomination or those OTHER unimportant issues (I slept through those classes on factual evidence in law school) because I AM a Graham Cracker -- y'all can
BITE ME!

You know, I really don't care that Lindsey Graham is a polesmoking donut puncher.
I really don't.
I just wish he'd 'come out', making the blackmail impossible, so he could start acting like the Conservative I saw him be during impeachment.

Of course, trust Graham to simply be a lapdog for democrats. The general point about the war powers act is quite reasonable - the willingness to give in to the democrats and be their little pet lapdog is not. One of the principal rules of political warfare - and make no mistake about it, we are engaged in political warfare here for the future of this country - is to force your opponents to live up to their own rules: the democrats have been whinging for years about this or that republican President seemingly violating the war powers act, well, now the shoe's on the other foot and only a pansy-ass like Graham thinks that the democrats are going to play nice and say, "gee, you're right, we see the error of our ways and now agree with you completely that the war powers act is unconstitutional."
Graham is such a worthless POS.

Congress should sort of shut upLimp-wristed Lindsey is an insufferable Globalist stooge and a traitor to the Constitution. Under the Constitution the people's elected representatives in Congress are the only ones that have the power declare war. Libya had not attacked the US and was never a threat to the US before King Barry started dropping bombs on them at the bequest of his Globalist Bankster bosses. Light-in-the-loafers Lindsey betrays his oath with he not only supports Obongo's illegal war but chastises his fellow Congressmen who are attempting, albeit timidly, to exercise their Constitutional duties. Gay Graham is typical of the GOP leadership and is exactly why the Republican Party is just as much a threat to the Republic's future as is the Democrat party, if not more so. They are all dedicated Globalists. They want to ruin this country economically, to make us prostrate before the Banksters, and then use these Middle East conflagrations to start World War III so they can usher in their One World Government.
