Interesting prediction ..... thanks. Personally, I've been thinking that if she decided not to enter, she'd probably endorse Michele Bachmann. But I think that it's much more likely she'll enter the race over the July 4th weekend, maybe on the 4th itself, which is a Monday (good spot in the news cycle).
No particular reason for picking July 4th other than the symbolism, but someone speculated on that possibility, and I think it's a good guess. I can't see her waiting too much longer -- Labor Day, say.
The early money for the primaries will commit over the summer, so she needs to be in there. Unlike Fred Thompson, who was restrained in 2007 by contractual obligations to NBC, so he waited until after the new TV season began, and by then it was too late. The money, what there was of it in that starveling GOP political year, was already gone.

He sounded (and acted actually) conservative many years ago. But he hasn’t been for quite some time, not even before an election. Every now and then he’s right, like a broken clock.

One FReeper speculated that she’d wait till after 7/26, having to do with peculiar AK laws regarding former office holders’ liabilities, that will expire 7/26. So who knows?

No, she doesn't, but the likelihood that she would want #2 on the ticket again is slim, in my opinion.
There are only two reasons why McCain was able to acquire the nomination. The first is that conservatives could not (or would not) rally and unite behind anyone. The second is the open primaries in several key states. McCain essentially backed into the nomination, winning it almost by default. He wasn't effectively beginning his campaign in February. He was resuscitating it.
McCain had been running for president since the late 1990's. He had everything in place except a real constituency in the Republican Party. His constituency, such as it was, was among independents, centrist Dems and lukewarm Reps. Conservatives were not going to support Romney. When Huckabee and everyone else dropped out, who was left?
McCain was the darling/choice of the new world order (Bush1) and its enablers including the msm and the owners.

I know there are criticisms of Perry, but I seriously doubt he’ll do the John-McLame-giving-BJs-to-his-lover-Barak thing.
This time, in the #2 spot, she’ll actually end up as VP. And you know one thing the VP gets to do... go up against the press.
And wow, what a perfect place to do THAT from for Sarah, who hates them as much as we all hate them.

Governor Perry Signs Gun Bills!

Yesterday afternoon, June 17, 2011, Texas Governor Rick Perry signed into law SB 321 by Senator Glenn Hegar, Jr. (R-Katy) and Representative Tim Kleinschmidt (R-Lexington). SB 321 will protect the jobs of the vast majority of Texas employees wanting a firearm in their personal locked vehicle when parked on their employer’s parking lot.
This session’s success came after losses in three previous legislative sessions, due to the influence of the Texas Association of Business, the Chemical Council, USAA insurance in San Antonio, and every Chamber of Commerce in the state.
Senator Hegar passed the issue twice before in the Senate only to have his bill stall and ultimately be defeated in the House. Texas State Representative Kleinschmidt had what it took to push the issue across the finish line with the help of nearly 90 co-authors and Speaker Straus.
Thanks you, Governor Perry. We can all breathe a sigh of relief. SB 321 goes into effect on September 1st.
Also yesterday, Governor Perry signed TSRA’s Range Protection Bill. SB 766 was carried in the Senate by Senator Craig Estes (R-Wichita Falls) and in the House by Freshman State Representative Jason Isaac (R-Dripping Springs). Senator Estes stepped up to the plate at the beginning of session and asked to carry legislation to protect Texas shooting ranges. Representative Isaac followed in the footsteps of other State Representatives from his district by demonstrating his power and his dedication to the Second Amendment by successfully passing this important legislation.
Again, thank you, Governor Perry. All the guns in the world won’t matter if we have no place to shoot!
TSRA passed two out of the three issues listed on our Legislative Agenda for 2011. We again upheld our commitment to our members to work for the greatest good for the greatest number of Texas gun-owners. SB 321 and SB 766 move us in the right direction toward 2nd amendment rights and personal protection.
Both bills go into effect September 1st.
The best bit is that Perry put his personal signature on the bill.
He didn’t have to sign it to become law.
He chose to attach his name to it.
Good for him.
I think Perry has 11,000 bills to sign or veto before monday.
He doesn’t have to sign for them to become law in this special legislation.
The fact that he took the time and the political stance to attach his name to these laws makes me admire him.
He could have ducked this and still had it become law.
He can veto to block, but he could say nothing and the law will pass.
By signing he is making a political statement that he endorses the law.
Good for Perry
Agreed, I think most things always evolve, and I think Perry has done just that. Heck, I was at the first Tea Party event in Austin in 09 and so was Perry and Williams.
I see some folks posting that he is an “open borders” guy, but I don’t see that. Maybe I’m wrong. What I do see is him putting state resources on the border including Rangers, Wardens, Troopers, and working with the Sheriff’s dept’s. Hell, it’s not the job of the states to protect the nations borders.
Is he perfect? Well, I guess not, but neither am I. I think the Guardisil argument is a red herring, along with the TTC. Neither one came to fruition.
Interesting times we live in. We’ll see how it shakes out.
