My dear, you are trying to make this about me, because you have put your foot in it.
I like Sarah Palin and Rick Perry (and so do they, as they have campaigned together).
You can’t say it was fine for Sarah Palin to endorse Rick Perry for Governor (and she said a lot of very nice things about him and how he governs) and then say Perry is corrupt without saying Sarah Palin is in bed with, as you said, someone who can be sold to the highest bidder. You just can’t.
So you might as well save your ammunition and move on and harass someone on another thread because from here on out you’re just shooting blanks on this thread.
You mean like Alabama? They just past an even more stringent law than AZ. I like it. And I like Arizona’s law. Just because the Feds want to meddle into state business doesn’t mean it’s a bad law...unless you agree with the Feds. Do you?
And no, Perry isn’t skinnin’ the cat. Perry’s just another compassionate conservative like GWB. And we know what that gave us. End of story. Peddle your stuff to someone else.
You like Perry so much, keep him in Texas. He’s just another compassionate conservative and we know what 8 years of that crap got us. No way, no how. And you like illegals? You keep them in Texas as well. Tell you what. Instead of building the border along the Rio Grande, build it along the Red. You seem to like them so much, join ‘em.
The key will be to add to the House and take back the Senate. Much of what the RINO's want to do can be blunted if we come out in force. This is how we stopped the Nafta highway, and the forced vaccination plan.
Almost any candidate we get still believes in global warming so we will have to stop that.
These guys aren't kings and can be thwarted by paying attention and voting. Obama didn't even pay attention to the 60% that hate Obama care. Now we have to completely start from scratch to get rid of it. At least a RINO understands re election.
Every election, and I have been through a few of them here at FR, have always been contentious on Free Republic. We don't always get what we want, but when it comes right down to it, only the crazies would sit home and allow Obama to get re elected. I almost never get what I want, but I have NEVER, not once, EVER, missed a vote since I was 19. I'm 60 now. As an example I would vote for Nixon AGAIN, even knowing what I know now, over Humphry, McGovern, Johnson, Carter, you name it. Go back and listen to what McGovern wanted to do and your skin would crawl. Nixon was bad, but McGovern was a disaster. Voting for Romney over Obama is a no brainer. Lets just try to get someone better NOW. We can't wait to raise the issues that need to be raised trying to not upset the apple cart. We should say what we think and bring up the knowledge we may have that others don't have. Living in Texas, we have a close up view of Perry and can comment on him so as not to allow him to be shoved down our throats. But if he is the nominee, he gets my vote.
What the media is trying to do right now is convince US, not the Dems, that Palin can't be elected. They are the ones picking Romney because he is the one most palatable to them. That is reason enough for me to hate Romney and love Palin. I will never accept some Northeast liberal's idea of what makes a good Republican. They want to bring back the "Rockefeller" wing of the party. We need the Christian wing and the Tea Party wing to keep the Republican Party viable. Each candidate on the stage, except Ron Paul and Romney does that. Newt is close, but lacks some purity. His pics with Pelosi and his writings on global warming will be up front, IMHO. He is the smartest one, IMHO, but ideas aren't what we need right now, we need a Constitutionalist. POTUS doesn't need a rocket scientist, but a principled moral person. These choices can be made by a person with a GED in most cases if they are moral with common sense. We can see where we are with Harvard and Yale grads running the show. This is more like Checkers instead of Chess. Anybody that has even a rudimentary idea of capitalism know you drill for oil if you need more oil. Raising taxes kill jobs and printing money causes inflation. How tough can it be?
If you don't care if people work and America goes broke, then you try to do what is "fair".
I’m not going to consider any RINO at this point in the process. Until we have our nominee, I’m going to fight for conservatives and against RINOs.
That’s the bottom line.
Good plan. Just be careful that the “RINO” isn’t better than the one you support. We tend to be unrealistic at times trying for purity. No one is as good as I am but I’m not running.
Endorsing someone for governor is not the same as pushing someone for POTUS. It simply isn’t. Perry was indeed the least of the evils in both the primary and the general election. Therefore, I don’t fault Sarah Palin for endorsing him.
If you were at all adept with these tactics, (Does this ‘change the subject and declare victory’ thing you’re doing here actually ever work with anyone???) you would instead mention that Sarah Palin brought up Perry’s name when talking about presidential candidates. Do I support that? No. Do I know why she did that? No. I’d like to hear more and I’m not pleased that she did it. Do I think she’s ‘in bed’ with Perry because of it? No.
Does anyone really think we should just forget about Rick Perry’s record because a politician we like endorsed him?
YOU said if someone “pushed” a candidate that you have labeled “corrupt” that they were promoting corruption.
You can’t pick and choose and cherry pick.
I like Palin.
I like Perry.
Well, what do you call it when a man takes money from a corporation and then mandates that every child in Texas MUST use that product? Is that not corrupt?
Am I supposed to ignore Rick Perry’s record because a politician I like has endorsed him in the past? If so, that’s convenient for him, isn’t it?
She also endorsed McCain. Should we support him for president too?
Just got home. Thanks for the info in comment 76. Gotta hand it to you Wife, you done good and maintained your civility during the back and forth on this thread. Kudos.
Thanks for the vote of “best manners.”
Bump!
Hey bcsco, did you have a really bad day? Or are you
just a jerk?
Thanks! 90 more people have looked at the video.
Santorum supported Spector over Toomey.
Cain supported Romeny in 2008.
Shall we continue playing these games?
