I’m with you. Although politically it would be advantageous to the GOP to keep Weiner around, it’s not leadership. It brings dishonor to the entire House. There are House rules to follow when a member dishonors the House and the GOP needs to follow them with whatever due process is necessary.
Weiner should be expelled if he won’t go willingly.
Now that Pelosi, W-Schultz and Israel are on record as calling for Weiner to resign, there should be a near unanimous vote to expel him. Rangel may be the lone holdout.
I heard on NPR this morning that Nancy Pelosi and Debbie Whatshername went public with their calls for Weiner’s resignation when the leave of absense trial balloons first floated by. I don’t think the congressman is going to be able to hang on, especially if more teenager contacts or photos come to light in which case he’ll have to immediately step down. I know I shouldn’t be enjoying this so much...
Look..the fact that Huma hasn’t come home early speaks volumes. She wants nothing to do with him. I suspect that it was originally expected that he was going to resign last Monday..she had promised to say nothing, and then, a few weeks after he’d left..she’d file for divorce..that allc hanged when he wouldn’t quit..

So we should call our representatives Boxer, Boehner, Pelosi, Kerry, and Frank to complain about Weiner. Just saying.
