Judging us is not the issue. The issue is a man who has been given the public trust. No matter what our sins, and we are all sinners, we have a right to expect better from those we pay and to whom we give such responsibility.
Might be useful to make your observation to the monsignor.
FReegards!
No problem. If I ever send nude pictures to young people - and lie to my beloved partner in marriage - I would expect to be judged. And harshly. The bible does NOT exist to give "cover and passes" ... The wisdom in the verses you quote is NOT 'if it feels good do it'...
A problem the Catholic church had was when "monsignor" types you speak of - decided to hide behind the confusion of 'judge not that ye not be judged'... It's not an invitation to a free for all flash mob crime binge... Are we not allowed to judge that?
We also have the ability to discern right from wrong. God has given us that ability with our mind, with our consciounse, and with his widom. Are we judging to use discernment. If our child does something wrong, should we not correct him/her because we should not judge? I think using that mindset is not quite what God was referring to. We may not be in a place of authority where we can hand out the judgement to fire him, but we are in a place to be able to decide within ourselves and discuss here - if his behavior is acceptable or not.
sp: conscience (sorry, thought I fixed it with the spchk)
