Rollin’s first job would have been to inform Bachmann that she has little chance. Then he should have did his best not to quash that small opportunity. He failed both times. A quick perusal of Bachmann’s facebook proves he has derailed her train... at the station.

“In the long run we want Palin and her people as our allies.”
How do these people get these jobs? This is beyond incompetence . . . . This is delusional.

He's already retracting? Uh, don't think so:
Rollins said the Bachmann campaign will be "so much more substantive." "People are going to say, 'I gotta make a choice and go with the intelligent woman who's every bit as attractive,'" Rollins said.
Sounds like more insults to me.

ACtually if Palin stays out of the race but baits the media for the next few months, she will draw a lot of the fire and make it easier for Bachman. “Kinda” baseball when you sacrifice fly out so the winning score can run in from third base.
Palin is also a formidable force in fund raising and can rally the base of the party. I actually think Palin is doing this and it is driving the media insane. She also has a pretty nice gig going at Fox News.
My Dream Ticket:
Bachman-Cain or Cain-Bachman for president and vp
Allen West Secretary of Defense
Thomas Sowell Secretary of Education
Milton Freidman’s ghost Secretary of the Treasury
Judge Napolitano Attorney General
Bolton Secretary of State
Eric Holder Federal pen for malfeasance in office and illegal international gun running operation.
Ben Bernake aka “all your money is ours” to drag a 200 lb statue of Milton Keynes through the desert for 30 years shouting “Where is my helicopter full of money?”

I wonder about these politicians and their advisors who go to work for the media, and; later they want back in the game?

That said I do agree that Palin needs to work with Bachmann and Cain of she enters the race. And I'm laughing.

Did you read the article? I believe those quotes are from an earlier interview. In the Politico interview, he says he needs to move from a tv commentor to a political hack. Any way you read it, he’s terrible and she needs to dump him.

The attacks may have been a Bachmann trial balloon that exploded. Faux leaders do this type thing rather than acting on principle.
