So he worked for the Fed for a time, who can cast the first stone?

I put that experience in the plus column myself.

Herman Cain: Federal Reserve Chairman, Tea Party Champion

Cain seems to have a three-part response to this problem. First, he defends his Fed tenure. He told Beck, "That Federal Reserve didn't do any of the stuff that this Federal Reserve is doing... Alan Greenspan never allowed the Fed to become politicized. We didn't have this $14 trillion debt to deal with, and as a result, they didn't have to inflate our currency the way this Federal Reserve board is doing."

Second, he emphasizes his monetary conservatism. "He's in favor of considering a return to something like a gold-based standard," his spokeswoman told me. Although that idea is considered archaic among most mainstream economists, it's more or less within the mainstream of the Republican Party these days (or at least the tea party).

Third, Cain makes clear that he wants no fight with Ron Paul. He told Beck that he supports Paul's authority as chairman of a House subcommittee to audit the Fed, although he may not have helped matters by adding that such an audit was unnecessary. Why is that, Beck asked. Because, Cain replied, "They have internal controls out the wazoo. I saw them."

Bachelor’s in Mathematics and a Master’s in Computer Science.

I’d put his real-world problem solving ability up against any Governor, Senator or Representative serving currently.

He was a Vice President at Pilsbury by the early 1980’s, about 30 years ago. Ten years prior to that, he was a mathematician for the U.S. Navy full time, simultaneously pursuing his Master’s in Computer Science at Purdue University, which he received in 1971.

He has authored four books: Leadership is Common Sense (1997), Speak as a Leader (1999), CEO of SELF (October 2001), and They Think You’re Stupid (May 2005).

He’s been achieving stellar results at the professional level for many years, and has deep and broad experience.

I voted for him in the 2004 senate primary and have eaten Godfather's pizza. And have spent many hours listening to Cain on local radio.

I'm not 100% allied with him politically, no two people should agree 100% on everything, just means one is an azz suck with no balls to stand on principle. I just know Cain is a damn good man who has built more with his own two hands than most of congress combined.

Cain is also the truth that puts to bed the lie that black people can't succeed because they are held down, like many Atlanta black folks have done. Interesting local news piece the other day describing the exodus the last ten years of blacks leaving the city limits of Atlanta and moving to the surrounding suburbs where the fruits of their labor are safe from the thieves in the streets and the tax office.

Can someone clear this up for me? I’ve heard that Obama was a lecturer, but when? As a third-year law student? That seems ridiculous. After he graduated? Was he invited once, or was it for an entire course? A one time “guest lecturer” is NOT impressive at all.

There is simply nothing wrong with being involved with a Federal Reserve Bank. Your “concern” is misplaced.

Me too. Sitting on the fed board means that he and Timmy Geithner have to much in common for me.

Actually, it was for 4 years. Wikipedia says “He is a former deputy chairman (1992–94) and chairman (1995–96) of the civilian board of directors to the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City.”

You know...I look at that picture and the first thing that pops into my mind is that cutr little puppy at the pound that sits in the corner waiting for someone to come by and take them to a good home...

Yeah, I’m a dog person, yet when I see my nieghbor Ron there, yep, he doesn’t live to far from us, I see a cat in disguise...

Mr. Cain is getting a few people to notice...And that wave keeps getting bigger and bigger...

I am not totally onboard yet...I still have a couple more people in mind to announce their intentions soon...

Mr. Cain could theoretically carry Texas if he played his cards right...If he does, and the others I’m looking at founder, Mr. Cain would get my total support...

Just my opinion...

I am not in anyone’s camp right now. There are too many good people involved right now. I want to see how things develop. I just get a little upset when people at FR start bashing solid Conservatives over nit picky stuff. I go out of my way to point out that the people they are bashing are fine people with solid Conservative backgrounds. Santorum, Palin, Bachmann, Cain and to a lesser extent Pawlenty are decent people. Global Warming Romney and any other RINOs like Huntsman and Christie can get lost.

You might like this, feel free to post it. NY Times article about Herman, and believe it or not, it’s pretty good!

BTW, do you have a link to his speech earlier tonight as keynote speaker at the Faith and Freedom Coalition?

Thanks for all you do!
