True. Very true. I believe the future of a free America hangs in the balance. He must not be re-elected.

yeah, I see that potential, too. Hopefully someone will rise out of the conservative options and be a clear leader. Palin could blow everyone away or stumble. Hard to say which, at this point. Same with Cain. DeMint may or may not campaign all that well on this stage...who knows. At least we should have something to look forward to this time around. 2008 was depressing all around.

Yeah, but if we have the senate(with backbone)obozo gets no one appointed to anything except those the senate approves of. We’d need to get rid of the susan collinses of the senate as well.
Hey, go for all of it. LOL!

Holy %$#&^!

This would change everything. I would support DeMint in a heartbeat. I have always had some reservations about what kind of candidate the soft-spoken, genteel DeMint would make, but he'd be a fabulous president.

Exactly my thoughts. This whole ‘draft me’ stuff is bull. Besides, he’s going to be ROmney’s VP choice anyway.

Recess appointments, like GWB had to do. Though, from an article posted last week, it looks like our Senate GOPpers may be exercising a new (for them) tactic to keep Ozero from making recess appointments. That would be fun! http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2726244/posts

Regarding your response upthread about civil discourse, I agree with you. I told him exactly that several weeks ago, here: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2715575/posts?page=29#29

Some people are lucky I don't have any sayso in the use of the zot machine. :-)

If he runs, I'll support him wholeheartedly, but he needs to put his whole heart into it, plus some. None of this, "I'll have to ask my wife first" wimpiness.

And I'd cheer a DeMint/Cain ticket even more!

This man is hoping Jim DeMint runs for President so that he can run for the Senate...

FAMOUS CAMPAIGN ATTACK : "Jim DeMint started the recession."

Yeah, recess appointments could be a bit of a headache, but they are temporary and not lifelong.
Yes, that fellow’s always slamming people and behaving in an arrogant fashion. I’m not going to tolerate his nonsense.

THIS is the man. I’m in a quandry over who to support because I had given up hope that he’d enter the race. But there isn’t a single doubt in my mind that the’s the guy who is a solid conservative AND can articulate conservative philosophy.

PLEASE enter, Senator DeMint!!

Hank

Interesting...I’ve always felt exactly the opposite. I WANT someone who hasn’t lusted after the office...any office. The Founding Fathers were forced by convictions and circumstance into “politics,” they didn’t lust after office.

Give me a true patriot but reluctant politician any day.

Hank

I don’t think he is running. He is being polite by giving consideration to people who are supportive. I would much prefer him to throw his support behind Cain, who IS running and who is a great candidate.
