No. Only Rytas would vote for Romneycare of Goodhair.

Many here will be voting for someone like Cain or Palin.

Period.

Whether the Republican is fielding that candidate or not.

***Hos is that immigration thing working out Gov. Good Hair?

Texas doesn’t have an “immigration” problem. The State is being overrun by ILLEGAL aliens because the Feds refuse to secure the US Southern border and enforce deportation laws.

Perry has made about three stumbles in his ten years as Gov. Those include the Guardasil thing, the Trans Texas Corridor and maybe one other thing (that I can’t recall right now).

He would definitely stir the pot of candidates if he jumped into the mix.

***What about the trans-Texas Corridor????***

The TTC didn’t happen. Why do you blame the man for an idea that was embraced by many to be a way to expand commerce and revenue, while adding so many jobs to Texas?

In the end, it was the issue of emminent domain that would have stripped some acres from land owners that stirred the opposition.

The grand plan for TTC was over the top in its projected scope, but if implemented a step at a time it might have worked.

That’s all water under the dam and is not something that Perry did that hurt the Texas taxpayers.

Palin is a bomb thrower, a provocateur...

As I recall, that's what they used to say about Newt, just before the Repubs took over Congress.

***In 2005, Perry signed a historic $15.7 billion property tax cut for homeowners and businesses that also included new taxpayer protections against appraisal increases.
Horsehockey! We in Bandera County have had property taxes double twice in the past two years, by mandate from Austin.

Since when did the Legislators in Austin have anything to do with raising property taxes throughout the State?

Last I was aware, the Gov. signed a bill years ago that LIMITED how much (%) the property taxes could be raised by the Counties, Cities and School Districts.

"Rick Perry? Every time he is mentioned, this board turns into something resembling DU.
A lot of it is coming from fellow Texans..."

That's because Texans have an insight into this man, and he is not all that awesome from where I stand. If not for the enormous public outcry, both the TTC and the mandatory cervical cancer shots for 12 year old girls would have been passed by now. Both of these things would have delivered lots of wealth into the hands of Perry's big business friends, and both of these things are wholely against the public interest. Perry championed these two causes.

I see from you profile that you love cats. I too love cats. You know who hates cats? Rick Perry.

1st- I never mentioned the Legislature increasing property tax. I mentioned Austin generically.

2nd- If Perry signed a bill limiting the % that property taxes could be raised, he did a poor job because the Comptrollers office is apparently ignoring the bill.
