Everytime I see one of these poor souls talking, I start crying. Some little tiny boy today was looking for his kitty. I cried for him too. His house was gone.

And to still know 1500 people are still unaccounted for.

“The boy’s mother is screaming for her baby.”

Is there any greater misery?

“Is there any greater misery?”

There are a lot of things that I have dealt with or could deal with. This is not one of them. I think I would literally have to be sedated and tied down. Prayers for all involved.

I hate to say it. But the child could have been taken miles by that storm.

I am heartsick for the family...and for victims of these storms. I cannot imagine the shock and despair they must feel. My prayers for all affected.

If GW had done this, the press would howl for his head on a pike. But no, we’re treated to videos of the boy king continuing his malignant narcissism victory tour.

Damn the media...damn them all.

I keep seeing this '1500 missing' figure being tossed about...is this confirmed? 1500 in a town of 50,000??? Weren't there several hundred still 'missing' in Tuscaloosa? Do we have final tolls, or is the media still busy slobbering over Zero that these folks have been cast aside?

Exactly, there is no pressing matter going on overseas except diplomatic visits.

For that matter, as much as I can’t stand Biden, it would at LEAST be appropriate and all “leaderlike” if Obama would put his second in command in charge at least.

If two agree in prayer...

Amen.

And that son-of-a-bitch Obama is busy jetsetting around Europe while so many of his own countrymen are hurting or dead.

Not really... his own countrymen pray in Arabic for the destruction of America and Israel. Benjamin Netanyahu, however, expressed his heartfelt condolences and compassion for suffering Americans.

Yep. Oh, but we’re not to “politicize” this now, don’t you know?

I am SO angry over this I wanna SPIT.

I don’t know if anyone was watching Nora O’Donnell in her coverage of him in Ireland. She was almost giddy over him, like a schoolgirl with a crush. All was going on at the time the news of the tornado was hitting.

Red cross pays hundreds of thousands in pay to it's leaders, while the volunteers get paid nothing. The Salvation Army leaders get in the $30k range, with their national head getting less...

They spend the money wisely, and it actually gets to the needs, not the pockets!

Salaries of Charity CEOs Compared

As you open your pockets for yet another natural disaster, keep these facts in mind:

Marsha J. Evans, President and CEO of the American Red Cross... salary for year ending 06/30/03 was $651,957 plus expenses.

Brian Gallagher, President of the United Way receives a $375,000 base salary, plus numerous expense benefits.

The Salvation Army's Commissioner Todd Bassett receives a salary of only $13,000 per year (plus housing) for managing this $2 billion dollar organization.

I am Catholic too and was looking for where to donate.

Check out this link

At the bottom it gives information on donating to CC and/or to the Mercy Hospital.

“There are a lot of things that I have dealt with or could deal with. This is not one of them.”

That makes two of us.

Bad news....baby identified in morgue:

Remains of missing baby Skyular identified

The remains of Skyular Logsdon, a 16-month-old who disappeared during the tornado Sunday in Joplin, were identified at a morgue there on Wednesday evening, a family member said. The search for Skyular, who was ripped from his mother’s arms by the storm, attracted national attention. The little boy’s great-uncle made the identification, said Rhonda Brewer, the stepmother of the child’s uncle. Skyular’s father was recently released from the hospital, and his mother is still being treated.

“...and his mother is still being treated...”

At least she now knows where he is; she can hold his hand and say goodbye.

It wasn’t your fault Mom.

(Absolute misery, but hopefully to recover.)
