I am sadened by this whole new telethon. I have grown up watching the jerry lewis telethon most of my 30 plus years,first how could they cut a day and a half show down to only 6 hours and still expect to make nearly as much as they usually do? And if they do well then then there is something shady going on. Second there are all these comments and discussions on whether jerry was fired or retired. I know the mans health is not well and he is getting up in age,but if he retired wouldnt you think he would have made some comment or released a statement? You would also think that it being his show,that he founded or what be it,that he would have been there or made an appearance,and while I watched it he didnt. I dont think the telethon while ever be the same again!
