The French political class and journalist elites are all abuzz with conspiracy theories. The comments by French bloggers are hilarious!
The conclusions, summarized by a TV journalist are:
1. It was a conspiracy and a set up
2. It was because of America’s puritanical attitudes towards sex.
They cannot deal with the concept of sexual violence. The words cannot pass their lips.
Rape is a crime of violence, not a sex crime.

DSK is a millionaire, born into money and married to woman who is pretty loaded herself. He could afford $20,000 suits if he wishes to.
The question is - who pays the bills for Obummer's $20,000 suits?

Strauss-Kahn, will remain in custody without bail until his next court appearance, State Supreme Court Judge Melissa Jackson ruled. Strauss-Kahn faces four felonies and three misdemeanors, with the top count carrying a maximum of 25 years in prison.
DSK was remanded to Police custody this morning and will be held in jail at least until his next hearing May 25. He was denied bail because he is considered a high flight risk, one reason being that France does not have an extradition treaty with the US.
Like every other criminal defendant, DSK was given the obligatory Perp Walk, and frogmarched, handcuffed, in and out of Criminal Court in lower Manhattan.
More bad news for DSK, the delay in arraignment was due to the prosecution finding a Judge to get a search warrant for physical examination of his body. His lawyer consented. According to Police sources, scratches and physical evidence were found.
The Judge is NYS Supreme Court Judge Melissa Jackson, a tough, but fair former Brooklyn ADA.
