BRAVO! BRAVO!
Thank you so much for telling it like it is, and in words which most of us here at Free Republic will agree heartily.
You touched on a subject that breaks my heart: the disrespect shown in classrooms towards teachers.
I remember a friend of mine who went into teaching, this was in Oregon back in 1978, and she met men and women in their 60s and 70s who were public school teachers in rural communities. You don’t see that much anymore in public schools, though my nephew attended a parochial school where some of the teachers, including a couple of nuns, were over 60 years old.
You are right about cultures that have no respect for learning or education. Some of the earliest universities in Europe were founded in Spain, and there are successful and large universities throughout South America, but there is hostility throughout the Western Hemisphere by Indians towards anything involving western civilization. Toss in the pervasive and purposeful chaos-causing presence of Marxists, and the result is the attitude seen in classrooms across the southwest of the U.S.A.
Any talk of an executive order?
