I am counting on that proclivity to be without exceptions. The other possibility is that OBL was “got” without checking with Washington first or contrary to an understood if not explicit order. That does not seem likely in a conflict where soldiers have to check with the lawyers before they pull the trigger. My real feeling about all this is that whatever comes from Washington and this administration is NOT TRUE. I have seen in the press the reactions I had anticipated. The drumbeat is begun to GET OUT NOW because OBL was the entire objective and the total reason for the war. In one swoop we eliminate Islamic terrorism from the popular consciousness and turn the Islamists into odd neighbors but benign. Hell, this whole Lybia thing seems to be mostly in support of the Jihadists and Osamanites against a tyrant who was no threat to us. With OBL dead it is okay for the Islamist president to support the Jihad openly.
