It appears that stories claiming Mitch Daniels will not run may be a bit premature.

Bushes, Sununu, hmm.

I am generally a fan of GWB, but the clan as a whole concerns me in their drive for moderation of the party. Sununu is the ultimate NE Country Club moderate of our time.

I am open to Mitch running, but every time it is mentioned, something in the article makes me pause.

“Mitch Daniels” The establishment’s sure loser.

If I were Obama Inc. I would like nothing more than a nice predictable campaign from the guy who gave us Bush’s deficits.

What’s Daniels going to do, run to Obama’s left?

Governor Daniels has, sitting on his desk awaiting his signature, a state law outlawing all abortions after 20 weeks and de-funding Planned Parenthood. The Governor’s own political future, as well as the future of innocent children, is in his hands.

It appears that the World is having quite a difficult time with problems that are beyond our powers to resolve. The weather for one, the wars both large and small, the World wide financial collapse and on and on....

This new reality is not being understood by the common politician who thinks that success will be had by applying previous tactics and using skills that worked last year.

Buy a farm and take care of your family Mr. Daniels. Let another fool take your place and waste a lot of time and money.

Mitch is the current choice of the Bush Wing (formerly the Rockefeller Wing) of the GOP.

Mitch is making noises but we can't hear him because his mouth is too close to the ground.

I would ALMOST prefer four more years of Obama than a return of Karl Rove, Dana Perino, Ditsy Nicole Wallace, Grover Norquist, David Frum, etc. Bush43 assembled one of the biggest bunch of losers in our nation's history. The Bushies did enough damage to our country. They are not as bas as Team Obama, but they certainly are not good.

Wasn’t Daniels the one who said we need to abandon the social issues? Social issues are moral issues, and everything is a moral issue. Unmarried women with children that collect substantial gifts from the government in the form of the EITC because they choose not to marry seems like a fiscal problem, but it’s really a moral problem. Black inner city kids involved in crime because they have no fathers, looks like a crime problem, but it’s really a moral problem. The costs are just the side effects. I’ll pass on electing a Bush clone to the WH, thanks.

What was it Einstein said about repeating the same action over and over and expecting a different (better) result?

I’m not sure what it means, but my mother-in-law who always votes D, mentioned at the breakfast table that she was impressed with Mitch Daniels. To her he seems more like a leader less like a politican. She has arrived at the point of being embarrassed by the lack of leadership from Obama and believes the country is in big trouble and needs a leader. If you had to describe her you would say she is socially somewhat liberal (but not as liberal as she thinks she is) and fiscal quite conservative.

Daniels also has been pushing a Value Added Tax (VAT) and describes Richard Lugar as his role model.

the Bush team whispering that they hope he runs”

Aw, dammit, I was really thinking that Daniels might be a serious fiscal conservative.

I am much less enthusiastic about this now.

Who needs another GWB big spender/Sununu-Souter candidate??

Great. A stealth tax that raises the cost everything, but can never be detected or lowered. John Mellencamp must love him.

the Bush team whispering that they hope he runs, and the potential support of Haley Barbour, Daniels has a vast fundraising network

Bad news there. Those people have done enough damage to the country...they should all just pack up and go home.

Mitch Daniels’ the answer to Obama’s prayers. No way Jose. I will Take Trump and his “F” bombs all day long over this guy.

If Mitch runs the first thing the Dems will start trotting out is how his wife left him for some other guy and then after awhile I guess he took her back and they got re-married. Thats really going to look great. The guy who couldn’t hold onto his wife. We don’t need this stuff as we will have enough problems unseating Zero anyway.

Don’t do it Mitch. Read the Polls Mitch.

I’m waiting (hoping) he decides not run. Add him to BarBar, Huckabee and we’re half way there.
