It is sickening how the media covers for this guy. And if they lost all viewers the government would simply subsidize them. Of course, we’re already doing that everytime GM buys a commercial spot.
I’m not shocked.
The House of Representatives needs to pass “drill here/drill now” legislation immediately, and get the real truth out in the media.
I’m all for drilling here, drilling now, but this analysis is faulty.
Oil price rose before Obama was in office and before the Macondo blowout and subsequent moratoria, such as they are.
Gas prices rise on all kinds of bad news, particularly in prime oil extraction portions of the globe.
Oil prices have always been volatile.
No matter how badly he screws up, the leftist media in this country will cover their boy’s ass. He could get caught up in anothe Monica Lewinsky style scandal and somehow they would manage to minimize it.
Can you imagine that daily venom that would spew forth from their pieholes if we had a Republican President screwing up everything as bad as Obama-lama-ding-dong??? They would be utterly RABID in their scathing hatred and criticism. It would be 10 times as bad as they treated W.
It is all part and parcel of the utter hypocrisy which defines the left in this country. There was a time in this country’s history that ‘yellow journalism’ was frowned upon. Now it is considered the norm. How far we have fallen.......
Every dollar Obama and Bernake print makes every other dollar worth less. The Saudis get it.
Why doesn’t the US public get it?
Why haven’t we done this decades ago and gotten at our own resources?
But, I can understand the missing media. Hey they are Liberal, and they are doing what Liberals do - protecting Obama. I want to know WHERE ARE THE REPUBLICANS? They have been given a campaign issue on a silver platter that nearly every American Voter can relate too. Seems to me they are as silent on this as the Democrats on the other side of the aisle.
They are part of the DNC now. Propaganda only.
Bttt.
Yes, but they became particularly volatile starting in the late 90s when the Clinton administration started placing all sorts of clean fuel blend mandates via the EPA on gasoline. This constrains supply because of the strain it puts on limited refinery capacity (another environmentalist-created problem leading to high gas prices), particularly in places like California which has its own unique fuel blend that can’t be produced anywhere else. So yes while high oil prices didn’t begin with Obama, he is continuing and enhancing radical environmental policies that only worsen the problem such as his drilling moratorium, etc.
It’s because our national leadership sold us out long ago.
Look, if we were really serious about our energy policy at any time from 1973 to 1995, what we would have today is:
1. Nuclear plants producing 85% of our electricity;
2. Substantial oil production in Alaska and offshore;
3. Most home heating provided by natural gas, and;
4. Significant development already underway to convert coal into synthetic petroleum.
But no, we have batteries posing as windmills, ethanol “enriched” gasoline, solar panels “made in China” and skittle-pooping unicorns!
Just back from the Pumps. Argghh! 80 bucks to fill my Jeep!
Agreed.
But none of these failures has anything to do with Obama and the Macondo induced moratoria as the article tries to tie them together.

Well then it’s more on Clintonian policies.
Look, I’m not saying Obama is making the situation better, but to tie him and the events in the Gulf of Mexico for barely one year directly to high gas prices that are occuring right now is silly. There are multitudes of factors, most of them outside the US’s control.
The failure of our past leadership does not excuse the failure of our present leadership.
The 0bama moratorium is just a continuation of the same insane policies we have consistently pursued for the past 40 years.
True, but there is no reason to not give the full picture and instead create a cartoon version of what is going on with the price of oil.
